Claims (3)

  1. 투명한 기판, 대향 기판(이 기판들은 강유전성 액정 물질의 비-나선형 정렬을 제공하도록 배치되어 있다). 상기 기판들 사이에 배치된 강유전성 액정 물질 및 하나 또는 다수의 화소(상기 각 화소는 조절된 연속 가변성 광 전송을 적용된 전계의 함수로서 나타낸다)를 한정짓는 상기 기판상의 전극을 포함하며, 액정 물질의 분자 배향이 계속적으로 가변적이고 조절가능한 강유전성 액정 디바이스.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 디바이스가 바이어스 전압에서의 변화에 따라 용량의 변화를 나타내는 디바이스.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 디바이스가 분극 효과를 제거하기 위해서 충분히 높은 바이어스가 적용된 후 +/-15 볼트/마크론까지의 바이어스 전압의 변화에 대해 적어도 5%의 용량 변화를 나타내는 디바이스.
