Claims (4)

  1. 요오드 또는 요오드 화합물의 존재하에 70 내지 90중량% 농도 황산중에서 하기 일반식(Ⅱ)의 o-톨루이딘 또는 그의 유도체를 하기 일반식(Ⅲ)의 메타크롤레인과 반응시키고, 생성한 하기 일반식(Ⅳ)의 3,8-디메틸퀴놀린을 바나륨 이온의 존재하에, 황산을 함유하는 용액중에서 질산으로 산화시킴으로써 하기 일반식(I)의 3-메틸퀴놀린-8-카르복실산 또는 그 유도체를 제조하는 방법에 있어서, 3,8-디메틸퀴톨린 (Ⅳ)의 황산-함유반응 용액중에서, 우선, 반응의 부산물을 산화에 의해 분해하고, 생성한 3,8-디메틸퀴놀린 용액을 증류에 의해 응축시킨후 3,8-디메틸퀴놀린을 동일 매질에서 질산으로 산화시켜서 3-메틸퀴놀린 카르복실산을 수득하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 질산을 반응의 부산물을 분해하기 위해 사용되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 반응의 부산물이 50 내지 150℃에서 분해되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  4. 제2항에 잇어서, 화합물(Ⅱ) 1몰당 1.2 내지 3.0몰의 질산이 반응의 부산물을 분해하기 위해 사용되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
