Description

액정성 화합물, 그를 함유한 액정조성물 및 그를 이용한 액정장치
본 내용은 요부공개 건이므로 전문내용을 수록하지 않았음
제1도는 강유전성 액정을 사용하는 액정 디스플레이 장치의 개략 단면도.
제2도와 제3도는 강유전성 액정 장치의 작동원리를 예시하기 위한 장치 전지 구체예의 개략 사시도이다.

Claims (5)

  1. 일반식(I) :
    의 액정성 화합물, (상기식에서 R1과 R2는 각각 치환기를 가질수 있는 탄소수가 1-16인 알킬기를 나타내고, X1과 X2는 각각 단일결합,또는를 나타내고, A1과 A2는 각각또는또는를 나타낸다.
    (여기서 X3와 X4는 각각 수소, 플루오로, 염소, 브롬, -CH3, -CN 또는 -CF3를 나타내고; Z는 -O- 또는 -S-를 나타낸다))
  2. 제1항에서 있어서, X1이 단일결합, -O- 및중의 어느 하나이고; X2가 단일결합, -O-,및중의 하나이고, R1과 R2는 각각 (i) 탄소수가 1-16, 특히 3-12인 n-알킬기; (ii) m이 1-6이고 n이 2-8인(광학적으로 활성 또는 비활성); (iii) r이 0-6, s가 0 또는 1이고 t가 1-12인(광학적으로 활성 또는 비활성); (iv) x가 1-14인인 기들중에서 어느 하나인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정성 화합물.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 일반식(1-1) 내지 (1-298)중의 어느 하나로 표현되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정성 화합물.
  4. 2종 이상의 액정성 화합물로 이루어지고, 그중의 적어도 하나는 제1항 내지 제3항중의 어느하나에 따른 액정성 화합물인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 조성물.
  5. 한쌍의 전극판과 전극판 사이에 놓여진 제4항에 따른 액정 조성물로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정장치.
