Abstract
본 발명은 Sm: 7.0~12 원자%, Hf, Zr 및 Sc로 이루어지는 군으로부터 선택되는 적어도 1개의 원소: 0.1~1.5 원자%, Mn: 0.1~0.5 원자%, N: 10~20 원자%, 및 Co: 0~35 원자%를 포함하고, 잔부는 Fe 및 불가피적 불순물인 Sm-Fe-N 자성체에 관한 것이다. 또한, 본 발명은 상기 Sm-Fe-N 자성체의 분말과 바인더를 포함하는 Sm-Fe-N 본드 자석에 관한 것이다.
Description
본 발명은 소형, 박형, 또는 복잡한 형상이 요구되는 분야에서의 사용에 적합한 Sm-Fe-N(사마륨-철-질소) 자석 및 등방성 Sm-Fe-N 본드 자석에 관한 것이다.
현재, Nd-Fe-B(네오디뮴-철-붕소) 자석은 주로 높은 자력(최대 에너지적(maximum energy product))이 요구되는 분야에서 영구 자석으로서 사용된다. 그러나, Sm-Fe-N 자석은 Nd-Fe-B 자석에 비해 특성이 우수한 자석으로 알려져 있다(특허문헌 1 및 비특허문헌 1). Sm-Fe-N 자석은 포화 자기 분극(saturation magnetic polarization)에 있어서 Nd-Fe-B 자석에 상당하고, Nd-Fe-B 자석보다 고(高) 이방성 자기장 및 높은 퀴리 온도(Curie temperature)를 가지며, 산화 및 녹이 덜 발생하는 장점을 가진다.
일반적으로, 자석의 원료로 사용되는 분말은 자기(magnetism)에 의해 등방성 자석 분말과 이방성 자석 분말로 분류된다. 「등방성 자석 분말」이란, 각 합금 분말 입자가 다수의 미세한 결정립(crystal grain)으로 구성되고, 각 결정립의 자화 용이 방향(direction of easy magnetization)이 무작위인 분말을 의미한다. 반면, 「이방성 자석 분말」이란, 각 합금 분말 입자가 단결정이거나, 다수의 결정립으로 구성되고, 각 입자 내의 각각의 결정립의 자화 용이 방향이 특정 방향으로 배향되어 있는 분말을 의미한다. Sm-Fe-N 합금 분말은 주로, 주상이, 준안정적(metastable)이고 TbCu7형으로 불리는 육방 결정 구조(hexagonal crystal structure)를 가지면서, 예를 들면 용융-급냉법(melt-quenching method)에 의해 얻어지는 등방성 자석 분말과, 주상이, Th2Zn17형으로 불리는 능면체(rhombohedral) 결정 구조를 가지며 안정적 상(phase)인, 이방성 자석 분말을 포함한다.
Sm-Fe-N 자석을 구성하는 결정은 약 500℃를 초과하는 온도로 가열하면 분해된다. 이 때문에 Sm-Fe-N 자석은 제조 중에 약 1,000℃의 온도로 가열해야하는 소결 자석(sintered magnet)으로는 제조될 수 없으며, 본드 자석으로 사용된다. 일반적으로, 본드 자석은 자석 분말과 바인더를 혼합하고, 결과로서 생기는 혼합물을 압축 성형기, 사출 성형기 등으로 성형함으로써 제조된다. 따라서, 본드 자석은 바인더와 공극의 존재에 상응하는 양만큼 소결 자석에 비해 자속 밀도가 열등하지만, 작거나, 얇거나, 복잡한 형상을 갖는 본드 자석을 쉽게 얻을 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 또한, TbCu7형 등방성 자석 분말로부터 제조된 등방성 Sm-Fe-N 본드 자석은, Th2Zn17형 이방성 자석 분말로부터 제조된 이방성 Sm-Fe-N 본드 자석과 비교하여 최대 에너지적이 낮지만, 성형 중에 자기장을 가할 필요가 없으므로, 생산 효율이 높고, 자화 패턴(magnetization pattern)의 설계 자유도가 높다는 장점이 있다. 이러한 등방성 본드 자석의 장점과 Sm-Fe-N 자석의 장점(고 이방성 자기장, 높은 퀴리 온도, 산화 및 녹에 대한 낮은 감응성)으로 인하여 등방성 Sm-Fe-N 본드 자석은, 예를 들어, 가혹한 환경에서 사용되는 자동차 모터에 사용된다.

일반적으로, 자화된 자석은 온도가 상승함에 따라 자속 밀도가 감소한다. 일시적으로 상승한 온도가 상온으로 떨어지는 경우, 자석은 자속 밀도를 부분적으로 회복할 뿐, 원래의 자속 밀도를 완전히 회복하지 않는다. 상온에서부터 가열시 발생하는 이러한 자속 밀도의 감소를 「열 자기소거(thermal demagnetization)」라고 하고, 열 자기소거 중 상온으로 냉각했을 때 자속 밀도가 회복되는 부분을 「가역 자기소거(reversible demagnetization)」라고 하고, 회복되지 않고 남아있는 부분을 「비가역 자기소거(irreversible demagnetization)」라고 한다. 복수의 자석에 대해 장시간 동안 자속 밀도의 변화를 조사하는 경우, 상온보다 높은 소정 온도로 유지되는 자석의 자속을 측정하기는 어렵다. 이 때문에, 자석을 소정 시간 동안 소정 온도로 유지한 다음, 상온까지 냉각하여 비가역 자기소거의 면에서 이 자석을 평가하기 위해 자석의 자속을 조사하는 방법이 일반적으로 채용된다. 일반적으로, “자기소거 후 자속”과 “자화 후 자기소거 전 자속”의 차이를 후자의 자속으로 나눈 값을 「자기소거 인자(demagnetization factor)」라고 한다. 특히, “온도 상승 후 그리고 이어서 상온으로 돌아간 다음(자기소거 후) 측정한 자속”과 “자화 후 온도 상승 전(자기소거 전) 상온에서 측정한 자속”의 차이를 후자의 자속으로 나눈 값을 「비가역 자기소거 인자(irreversible demagnetization factor)」라고 한다. 본 명세서의 정의에 따르면, 자기소거 인자와 비가역 자기소거 인자는 음의 값을 갖는다.
일반적인 자석에 있어서, 온도가 상승하여 소정 온도에 도달하는 동안에는, 상대적으로 빠른 속도로 자속 밀도가 감소하나(자석이 자기소거됨), 자석이 장시간에 걸쳐 그 온도로 유지되는 동안에는, 자속 밀도는 서서히 감소한다(자석이 서서히 자기소거됨). 전술한 바와 같이, 가열된 상태에서 자석의 자속을 측정하기 어렵기 때문에, 자석이 소정 온도로 가열되는 기간 동안 발생한 자기소거는, 1시간 동안 소정의 온도로 유지되었던 자석이 상온으로 돌아갔을 때 측정된 자속으로부터 결정되는 초기 자기소거 인자를 이용하여 평가된다. 본 명세서에서는, 장시간에 걸쳐 자석이 소정 온도로 유지되는 기간 동안 발생한 자기소거는, 비가역 자기소거 인자의 초기 자기소거 인자에 대한 감소량을 이용하여 평가되고, 비가역 자기소거 인자는 장시간에 걸쳐 소정 온도로 유지되었던 자석이 상온으로 돌아왔을 때 측정한 자속으로부터 결정된다.
가열 유지되는 일반적인 Sm-Fe-N 본드 자석은, Nd-Fe-B 본드 자석보다 시간 경과에 따른 자기소거의 정도가 낮다. 그러나, 예를 들어, 대기 중에서 120~150℃로 2,000시간 유지에 의한 비가역 자기소거 인자는, 초기 자기소거 인자보다 2% 이상 작다. Sm-Fe-N 본드 자석이 장시간 동안 고온의 환경에서 사용되기 위해서는 가급적 자기소거를 억제할 필요가 있다.
본 발명의 목적은, 등방성(TbCu7형)이며 고온의 환경에서 장시간의 사용에 적합한 Sm-Fe-N 자성체와 Sm-Fe-N 본드 자석을 제공하는 것이다.
즉, 본 발명은 이하의 항목 (1) 내지 (5)에 관한 것이다.
(1) Sm: 7.0~12 원자%;
Hf, Zr 및 Sc로 이루어지는 군으로부터 선택되는 적어도 1개의 원소: 0.1~1.5 원자%;
Mn: 0.1~0.5 원자%;
N: 10~20 원자%; 및
Co: 0~35 원자%
를 포함하고, 잔부는 Fe 및 불가피적 불순물인 Sm-Fe-N 자성체.
(2) Si: 0.1~0.5 원자%를 더 포함하는, (1)에 따른 Sm-Fe-N 자성체.
(3) Al: 0.1~0.5 원자%를 더 포함하는, (1) 또는 (2)에 따른 Sm-Fe-N 자성체.
(4) 주상이 TbCu7형 결정 구조를 갖는, (1) 내지 (3) 중 어느 하나에 따른 Sm-Fe-N 자성체.
(5) (1) 내지 (4) 중 어느 하나에 따른 Sm-Fe-N 자성체의 분말과, 바인더를 포함하는 Sm-Fe-N 본드 자석.
후술하는 바와 같이, 본 발명자들은 Sm-Fe-N 자성체를 대기 중의 고온 환경(본 실험에서는 120℃)에서 장시간 유지하는 실험을 행했다. 결과적으로, 다음과 같은 사실을 확인했다. Mn 함유량이 0.1 원자% 미만이거나 0.5 원자%를 초과하는 Sm-Fe-N 자성체의 경우, 충분히 긴 시간 동안(본 실험에서는 2,000시간) 유지된 다음 측정된 비가역 자기소거 인자의 초기 자기소거 인자에 대한 감소량의 절대값이 2.2%보다 컸다. 반대로, 0.1~0.5 원자%의 범위 내의 Mn을 함유하는 Sm-Fe-N 자성체의 경우, 상기 감소량의 절대값이 2.2% 이하였다. 따라서, 본 발명의 Sm-Fe-N 자성체에 따르면, Mn이 0.1~0.5 원자% 함유되어 있으므로, 자성체는 고온 환경에서의 시간 경과에 따른 자속 밀도의 변동이 억제되고(열 자기소거가 억제됨), 안정화된다. 결과적으로, 고온 환경에서의 장시간 사용에 적합한 자성체가 얻어진다.
Hf, Zr 및 Sc로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 적어도 1개의 원소(이하, 원소 T라고 함)는 TbCu7형 구조를 얻기 위해 첨가되는 원소이다. 또한, Fe 원자의 일부를 Co로 치환함으로써, 포화 자화가 높아질 수 있고, 퀴리 온도가 상승될 수 있어, 내열성이 향상된다. 그러나, Sm-Fe-N 자성체 중의 Co의 함유량이 35 원자%를 초과하면, 포화 자속 밀도 및 잔류 자화는 증가하는 것이 아니라 바람직하지 않게 감소한다. 따라서, Co의 함유량은 35% 이하이다.
본 발명에 따른 Sm-Fe-N 자성체는, 불가피적 불순물로서 O(산소) 및 H(수소)를 각각 0.3 원자% 이하 함유할 수 있고, Cr(크롬), Ni(니켈) 및 Cu(구리)를 각각 0.1 원자% 이하 함유할 수 있다. 또한, 본 발명에 따른 Sm-Fe-N 자성체는 C(탄소)를 0.5 원자% 이하 함유할 수 있다. 이들 원소를 각각의 범위 내의 양으로 함유하는 임의의 Sm-Fe-N 자성체는, 전술한 각각의 범위 내의 양으로 Sm, 원소 T, Mn, N, Fe 및 Co를 포함하는 한, 본 발명에 포함된다(Co는 함유되어 있지 않아도 좋다).
원소의 함유량을 나타내기 위해, 원소마다 다른 유효 숫자가 사용된다. 원소의 함유량이 유효 숫자보다 높은 정확도로 결정될 수 있는 경우, 유효 숫자 뒤에 오는 숫자를 보정하여 측정값을 유효 숫자로 반올림한다. 이와 같이 얻어진 값이 그 범위 내에 있는 경우, 이 함유량은 본 발명에 따른 요건을 만족시킨다. 예를 들어, Mn의 함유량이 소수점 둘째 자리까지의 정확도로 결정되고, 측정값이 0.05 원자%인 경우, 측정값은 소수점 둘째 자리의 유효 숫자를 보정함으로써 반올림되어 “0.1 원자%”가 되며, 이는 해당 범위 내이다. 결과적으로 측정값은 Mn 함유량에 관한 요건을 만족한다.
본 발명에 따른 Sm-Fe-N 자성체는 0.1~0.5 원자%의 Si(규소)를 함유하는 것이 바람직하다. 이렇게 함으로써, 열 자기소거가 더욱 감소될 수 있다. 마찬가지로, 본 발명에 따른 Sm-Fe-N 자성체의 열 자기소거는, 0.1~0.5 원자%의 Al(알루미늄)을 포함시킴으로써 더욱 감소될 수 있다. 이 경우, 본 발명에 따른 Sm-Fe-N 자성체는, 0.1~0.5 원자%의 Si 또는 Al을 함유하거나, 각각 0.1~0.5 원자%의 Si 및 Al을 함유할 수 있다.
본 발명에 따른 Sm-Fe-N 본드 자석은, 본 발명에 따른 Sm-Fe-N 자성체의 분말과, 바인더를 포함한다.
본 발명에 따르면, 등방성(TbCu7형)이며 고온 환경에서의 장시간 사용에 적합한 Sm-Fe-N 자성체 및 Sm-Fe-N 본드 자석을 얻을 수 있다.
도 1은 본 발명에 따른 Sm-Fe-N 본드 자석의 실시예와 비교예의 Mn 함유량을 달리한 복수의 샘플에 대하여, 120℃에서 2,000시간 유지에 의한 비가역 자기소거 인자의 초기 자기소거 인자에 대한 감소량을 나타내는 그래프이다.
도 2는 본 발명에 따른 실시예와 비교예에 있어서, 120℃ 유지시 시간 경과에 따른 비가역 자기소거 인자의 변화를 나타내는 그래프이다.
도 3은 본 발명에 따른 실시예와 비교예에 있어서, 120℃ 유지에 의한 비가역 자기소거 인자의 초기 자기소거 인자에 대한 감소량의 시간 경과에 따른 변화를 나타내는 그래프이다.
도 2는 본 발명에 따른 실시예와 비교예에 있어서, 120℃ 유지시 시간 경과에 따른 비가역 자기소거 인자의 변화를 나타내는 그래프이다.
도 3은 본 발명에 따른 실시예와 비교예에 있어서, 120℃ 유지에 의한 비가역 자기소거 인자의 초기 자기소거 인자에 대한 감소량의 시간 경과에 따른 변화를 나타내는 그래프이다.
이하, 본 발명에 따른 Sm-Fe-N 자성체 및 Sm-Fe-N 본드 자석의 실시 형태를 설명한다.
본 발명의 Sm-Fe-N 자성체는, Sm: 7.0~12 원자%, Hf, Zr 및 Sc로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 적어도 1개의 원소(원소 T): 0.1~1.5 원자%, Mn: 0.1~0.5 원자%, N: 10~20 원자%, Co: 0~35 원자%를 함유하고, 잔부는 Fe 및 불가피적 불순물로 이루어진다. 이 Sm-Fe-N 자성체는, 예를 들어, 이하의 방법으로 제조될 수 있다.
먼저, N을 제외한 상기 성분을 함께 혼합하고 용융시켜 원료로서의 용융물을 제조한다. 다음, 이 용융물을 고속으로 회전하는 롤의 표면에 분사함으로써 용융물을 급속 냉각시켜, 합금 리본(ribbon of an alloy)을 제조한다. 이 리본은 불활성 분위기의 700~800℃ 범위의 온도에서 열처리되어, 비정질 및 준안정한 상의 일부가 안정한 상으로 변화된다. 이 처리는, 이어지는 질화(nitriding) 후에 합금이 보다 높은 보자력(coercive force)을 갖도록 하기 위해 수행된다.
그 후, 질소 원자를 갖는 분자를 함유하는 기체에서 리본을 가열하여, 질화 분말을 얻는다. 이 공정은 포화 자화, 보자력 그리고 최대 에너지적을 향상시킨다. 암모니아와 수소를 함유하는 혼합 기체는, 질소 원자를 포함하는 분자를 함유하는 기체로서의 사용에 적합하다. 이 실시예에서, 암모니아 기체는 질소 원자를 포함하는 분자를 함유하는 기체이다. 질화의 가열 온도와 압력은 사용되는 기체에 따른다. 예를 들어, 암모니아와 수소를 부피비로 1:3 함유하는 기체가 사용되는 경우, 약 450℃의 가열 온도가 이용되고, 압력은, 기체를 관상로(tube furnace)를 통과시키면서 처리를 수행함으로써, 실질적으로 대기압(대기압보다 조금 높음)으로 조절된다. 이 질화 시간을 조절함으로써, N의 함유량이 10~20 원자%로 조절된다. 상기의 공정을 통해, 분말형 Sm-Fe-N 자성체(이하, 「Sm-Fe-N 자석 분말」이라고 함)가 얻어진다.
전술한 바와 같이, 일반적으로 Sm-Fe-N 자석은, 주상이 Th2Zn17형 결정 구조를 갖는 것과 주상이 TbCu7형 결정 구조를 갖는 것을 포함한다. 본 실시 형태에서는, 0.1~1.5 원자%의 양으로 원소 T를 포함시킴으로써 주상이 TbCu7형 결정 구조를 갖는 Sm-Fe-N 자석 분말이 얻어진다.
본 실시 형태에 따른 Sm-Fe-N 자석 분말은, 0.1~0.5 원자%의 양으로 Si를 더 포함하거나, 0.1~0.5 원자%의 양으로 Al을 더 포함할 수도 있다. Si 및/또는 Al을 포함하는 경우, Sm-Fe-N 자석 분말은 전술한 방법으로 제조될 수 있다. 본 실시 형태에 따른 Sm-Fe-N 자석 분말에 Si 및/또는 Al을 포함시킴으로써, 이 Sm-Fe-N 자석 분말로부터 제조된 Sm-Fe-N 자석은 장시간에 걸쳐 열 자기소거되는 것이, 두 원소 중 어느 것도 포함되지 않은 경우보다 더욱 효과적으로 억제될 수 있다.
본 실시 형태에 따른 Sm-Fe-N 본드 자석은, 전술한 방법으로 제조된 Sm-Fe-N 자석 분말에 바인더를 혼합하고, 혼합물을 성형하여 제조될 수 있다. 바인더로서, 에폭시 수지 등의 열경화성 수지 또는 나일론 등의 열가소성 수지가 사용될 수 있다. 예를 들어, 전술한 본 실시 형태에 따른 Sm-Fe-N 자석 분말을 2 질량%의 에폭시 수지와 혼합하고, 이 혼합물을 압축 성형한다. 이렇게 하여, 본 실시 형태에 따른 Sm-Fe-N 본드 자석이 얻어진다.
실시예
이하에 Sm-Fe-N 본드 자석을 실제로 제조하여 자기 특성을 조사한 실험 결과를 나타낸다. 이 실험에서는, 표 1에 나타낸 양의 각 원소를 함유하는 각각의 Sm-Fe-N 자석 분말에 2 질량%의 에폭시 수지를 첨가하였다. 각각의 혼합물을 혼련(knead)하고, 직경 10mm, 높이 7mm의 원기둥 형상으로 압축 성형하고, 경화시켰다. 이에 따라, Sm-Fe-N 본드 자석이 제조되었다. Fe의 함유량은 표 1에서 생략되었지만, Fe는 각 자석의 잔부를 차지한다. 표 1에서, 실시예의 19개의 샘플은 Si 및 Al의 함유량에 따라 G1 내지 G4의 4개의 그룹으로 분류되었다. 그룹 G1에서, Si 및 Al의 함유량은 각각 0.04 원자% 이하(소수점 둘째 자리의 유효 숫자를 보정함으로써 함유량값을 반올림했을 때 0.1 원자% 미만)이다. 그룹 G2에서, Si의 함유량은 0.05~0.54 원자%(마찬가지로 함유량값을 반올림했을 때 0.1~0.5 원자%)이고, Al의 함유량은 0.04 원자% 이하이다. 그룹 G3에서, Si의 함유량은 0.04 원자% 이하이고, Al의 함유량은 0.05~0.54 원자%이다. 그룹 G4에서, Si 및 Al의 함유량은 각각 0.05~0.54 원자%이다. 비교예의 샘플은, 각각에 있어서의 Mn의 함유량이 0.04 원자% 이하 또는 0.55 원자% 이상이다(소수점 둘째자리에서 유효 숫자를 보정하여 반올림했을 때, 함유량이 0.1 원자% 미만이거나 0.5 원자%를 초과).
실시예 및 비교예의 샘플은, 샘플을 자화시킨 후, 자화된 샘플을 120℃의 오븐에서 1시간 또는 2,000시간 동안 유지한 다음, 상온으로 냉각시킨 후의 자속을 조사한 실험을 거쳤다. 얻어진 데이터로부터 「초기 자기소거 인자」 및 「2,000시간 유지에 의한 비가역 자기소거 인자」가 결정되었다. 또한, 2,000시간 유지에 의한 비가역 자기소거 인자의 초기 자기소거 인자에 대한 감소량(이하, 이 감소량을 「2,000시간 유지에 의한 감소량」이라고 함)이 도 1과 표 2에 나타내는 바와 같이 정해졌다.
도 1에 나타나 있는 그래프로부터 알 수 있는 바와 같이, 2,000시간 유지에 의한 감소량에 있어서 실시예(속이 찬 정사각형, 속이 찬 마름모, 속이 빈 원 및 속이 빈 삼각형으로 표시된 데이터)가 비교예(기호 × 및 +로 표시된 데이터)보다 작다. 구체적으로는, 비교예의 2,000시간 유지에 의한 감소량은 2.2%를 초과하는 반면, 실시예는 2.2% 이하이다. 이는 실시예가 비교예보다 고온 환경에서의 자속의 안정성(즉, 열 안정성)이 높고, 그러한 환경에서의 장시간 사용에 보다 적합하다는 것을 의미한다.
도 1의 그래프의 실시예들 간의 비교는, 그룹 G2(속이 찬 마름모) 및 그룹 G3(속이 빈 원)의 2,000시간 유지에 의한 감소량이 그룹 G1(속이 찬 정사각형)보다 작으며, 2,000시간 유지에 의한 감소량에 있어서, 그룹 G4(속이 빈 삼각형)가 그룹 G2 및 G3(그룹 G2는 실질적으로 그룹 G3와 동일)보다 작다는 것을 보여준다. 이것은 0.05~0.54 원자%의 Si 및/또는 Al을 포함함으로써 Sm-Fe-N 본드 자석의 열 안정성이 향상됨을 나타낸다. 반면, 비교예(Mn 함유량: 0.04 원자% 이하) 중, 0.05~0.54 원자%의 Si를 함유하는 비교예(기호 +로 표시)는, 2,000시간 유지에 의한 감소량에 있어서, 각 실시예보다 저조하다. 따라서, Mn은 Si보다 열 안정성에 더 많이 기여한다는 것을 알 수 있다.
도 2는 실시예 1, 실시예 17, 비교예 2 및 비교예 3의 샘플에 대하여, 120℃ 유지시 시간 경과에 따른 비가역 자기소거 인자의 변화를 나타낸다. 도 3은 도 2와 동일한 샘플에 대해, 120℃ 유지에 의한 비가역 자기소거 인자의 초기 자기소거 인자에 대한 감소량의 시간 경과에 따른 변화를 나타낸다. 비록 상온에서 유지 온도까지 가열하는 동안 상대적으로 빠른 속도로 자기소거가 발생하지만, 유지 온도에 도달한 다음에는, 자기소거는 로그형의 시간 경과에 따라 선형적으로 발생한다는 것을 도 2 및 도 3의 그래프로부터 알 수 있다. 실시예의 샘플들은 비교예에 비해, 로그형의 시간 경과에 따른 자기소거 인자의 변화의 기울기가 작다. 비가역 자기소거 인자의 초기 자기소거 인자에 대한 감소량에 대해서도 동일하게 적용된다. 이와 같이, 도 2 및 도 3의 그래프로부터, 실시예는 비교예에 비해 더 나은 열 안정성을 가지는 것을 알 수 있다.
표 3에 상온에서 정해진 각 샘플의 잔류 자속 밀도 Br, 보자력 iHc 및 최대 에너지적 (BH)max가 나타나있다. Br, iHc 및 (BH)max에 있어서, 실시예와 비교예 간 유의한 차이가 없다. 이들 실험 결과로부터, 실시예의 Sm-Fe-N 본드 자석은, 비교예의 Sm-Fe-N 본드 자석과 거의 동등한 상온 보자력 iHc 및 상온 잔류 자속 밀도 Br을 가지면서, 비교예보다 높은 열 안정성을 얻을 수 있다는 것이 확인되었다. 실시예 또는 비교예와는 무관하게, 분말의 열처리 조건(온도, 시간)을 적절히 설정하여, 상온 보자력 iHc를 높임으로써, 비가역 자기소거 인자의 초기 자기소거 인자에 대한 감소량이 감소될 수 있다. 그러나 이러한 경우, 잔류 자속 밀도 Br은 바람직하지 않게 감소한다.

주상이 TbCu7형 결정 구조를 갖는 Sm-Fe-N 자성체. - 제1항 또는 제2항에 따른 Sm-Fe-N 자성체의 분말과, 바인더를 포함하는 Sm-Fe-N 본드 자석.
