Claims (5)
- 대략 다각형 판형상을 이루고, 상기 다각형면의 적어도 한쪽 다각형면의 코너부 및 상기 코너부로부터 연장되는 변모서리부에 형성되어 있으며 상기 한쪽 다각형면보다 다른 쪽 다각형면을 향하여 오목한 홈을 구비한 절삭 인서트로서,
상기 대향하는 다각형면 사이로 연장되는 적어도 한쪽 측면에 형성된 선단 여유면과 상기 홈의 교차 능선부에 형성된 선단 절삭날과,
상기 선단 여유면이 되는 측면에 인접하는 다른 쪽 측면에 형성된 외주 여유면과 상기 홈의 교차 능선부에 형성된 외주 절삭날과,
상기 다각형면에 대향하는 쪽에서 볼 때, 상기 선단 절삭날과 상기 외주 절삭날의 교차부에 상기 외주 절삭날에 둔각으로 교차하면서 상기 홈에 연결 설치된 서브 절삭날을 구비하고,
상기 홈은 적어도 상기 선단 절삭날 및 서브 절삭날의 상기 코너부 근방 영역에서는 상기 선단 절삭날로부터 멀어질수록 점차 상기 다른 쪽 다각형면에 접근하는 하향 경사면을 포함하는 절삭면을 구비하며,
상기 하향 경사면의 최대 경사 방향과 상기 선단 절삭날을 따르는 방향이 이루는 각도(α)는 상기 최대 경사 방향과 상기 서브 절삭날을 따르는 방향이 이루는 각도(β)보다 큰 절삭 인서트. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 선단 절삭날은 상기 코너부로부터 멀어질수록 상기 다른 쪽 다각형면을 향하여 점차 하강하도록 경사지는 경사 부분을 가지는 절삭 인서트. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
상기 홈의 하향 경사면 중 적어도 상기 절삭날에 이어지는 영역이 평면으로 형성되어 있는 절삭 인서트. - 제 1 항 내지 제 3 항 중 어느 한 항에 기재된 절삭 인서트를 공구 본체의 선단 외주부에 착탈 가능하게 설치하고, 피삭재에 설치된 파일럿 홀의 내벽면을 넓히는 회전 절삭 공구로서,
상기 절삭 인서트는, 상기 한쪽 다각형면이 공구 회전방향 전방측을 향하며, 상기 코너부가 상기 공구 본체의 회전중심 축선 방향 선단측이면서 직경방향 바깥쪽으로 돌출되고, 상기 코너부로부터 각각 연장되는 선단 절삭날 및 서브 절삭날이 상기 공구 본체의 선단면 및 외주면으로 돌출되며, 상기 서브 절삭날이 상기 회전중심 축선과 대략 평행하게 연장되도록 상기 공구 본체에 장착되고,
더욱이, 적어도 상기 선단 절삭날의 상기 코너부 근방 영역에 인접하는 절삭면의 축방향 경사각이 상기 서브 절삭날에 인접하는 절삭면의 직경방향 경사각보다 큰 절삭 공구. - 제 4 항에 있어서,
적어도 상기 선단 절삭날의 상기 코너부 근방 영역에 인접하는 절삭면의 축방향 경사각이 양인 절삭 공구.
