略多角形板状をなし、対向する一対の多角形面の少なくとも一方のコーナ部および前記コーナ部から延びる辺稜部に形成され、前記一方の多角形面より他方の多角形面に向かって凹んだ溝を備えた切削インサートであって、
前記対向する一対の多角形面の間に延びる少なくとも一つの側面に形成された先端逃げ面と前記溝との交差稜線部に形成された先端切れ刃と、
前記先端逃げ面が形成された側面に隣接する他の側面に形成された外周逃げ面と前記溝との交差稜線部に形成された外周切れ刃と、
前記多角形面に対向する側からみて、前記先端切れ刃と前記外周切れ刃との交差部に、前記外周切れ刃に鈍角で交差しかつ前記溝に連設された副切れ刃と、を備え、
前記溝は、少なくとも前記先端切れ刃および前記副切れ刃の前記コーナ部の近傍の領域では、前記先端切れ刃から遠ざかるにしたがい漸次前記他方の多角形面に接近する下り傾斜面を含むすくい面を備え、
前記下り傾斜面の最大傾斜の方向と前記先端切れ刃に沿う方向とのなす角度αは、前記最大傾斜の方向と前記副切れ刃に沿う方向とのなす角度βより大きい、切削インサートである。
前記切削インサートは、前記一方の多角形面が工具回転方向前方側に向き、前記コーナ部が前記工具本体の中心線方向先端側かつ径方向外側に突出し、前記コーナ部から夫々延びる先端切れ刃および副切れ刃が前記工具本体の先端面およびに外周面から突出し、前記副切れ刃が前記中心線と略平行に延在するように前記工具本体に装着され、
さらに、少なくとも前記先端切れ刃の前記コーナ部近傍の領域に隣接するすくい面の軸方向すくい角が、前記副切れ刃に隣接するすくい面の径方向すくい角より大きい、切削工具である。
Claims (5)
- 略多角形板状をなし、対向する一対の多角形面の少なくとも一方のコーナ部および前記コーナ部から延びる辺稜部に形成され、前記一方の多角形面より他方の多角形面に向かって凹んだ溝を備えた切削インサートであって、
前記対向する一対の多角形面の間に延びる少なくとも一つの側面に形成された先端逃げ面と前記溝との交差稜線部に形成された先端切れ刃と、
前記先端逃げ面が形成された側面に隣接する他の側面に形成された外周逃げ面と前記溝との交差稜線部に形成された外周切れ刃と、
前記多角形面に対向する側からみて、前記先端切れ刃と前記外周切れ刃との交差部に、前記外周切れ刃に鈍角で交差しかつ前記溝に連設された副切れ刃と、を備え、
前記溝は、少なくとも前記先端切れ刃および前記副切れ刃の前記コーナ部の近傍の領域では、前記先端切れ刃から遠ざかるにしたがい漸次前記他方の多角形面に接近する下り傾斜面を含むすくい面を備え、
前記下り傾斜面の最大傾斜の方向と前記先端切れ刃に沿う方向とのなす角度αは、前記最大傾斜の方向と前記副切れ刃に沿う方向とのなす角度βより大きい、切削インサート。 - 前記先端切れ刃は、前記コーナ部から遠ざかるにしたがい、前記他方の多角形面に向かって漸次降下するように傾斜する傾斜部分を有する、請求項1に記載の切削インサート。
- 前記溝の下り傾斜面のうち少なくとも前記副切れ刃に連なる領域が平面で形成されている、請求項1又は2に記載の切削インサート。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の切削インサートを工具本体の先端外周部に着脱可能に取り付け、被削材に設けられた下穴の内壁面をくり広げる回転切削工具であって、
前記切削インサートは、前記一方の多角形面が工具回転方向前方側に向き、前記コーナ部が前記工具本体の回転中心軸線方向先端側かつ径方向外側に突出し、前記コーナ部から夫々延びる前記先端切れ刃および前記副切れ刃が前記工具本体の先端面および外周面から突出し、前記副切れ刃が前記回転中心軸線と略平行に延在するように前記工具本体に装着され、
さらに、少なくとも前記先端切れ刃の前記コーナ部近傍の領域に隣接するすくい面の軸方向すくい角が、前記副切れ刃に隣接するすくい面の径方向すくい角より大きい、切削工具。 - 少なくとも前記先端切れ刃の前記コーナ部近傍領域に隣接するすくい面の軸方向すくい角が正である、請求項4に記載の切削工具。
