Claims (38)
- 사용자 프롬프트, 제어 입력 또는 모호한 텍스트 엔트리(ambiguous text entry)와 관련한, 사용자 단어 또는 사용자 동작(user actions) 중 어느 하나의 예측을 위한 장치에 있어서,적절한 인터페이싱 회로를 통해 프로세서에 각각 결합된 입력 디바이스 및 디스플레이와,상기 프로세서에 결합된 메모리를 포함하고,상기 프로세서는 상기 입력 디바이스로부터의 입력 문자 및 부호를 수신하고 상기 디스플레이로의 객체의 출력 및 상기 장치 내에서의 동작의 어서션(assertion)을 관리하고,상기 메모리는 운영 체제와, 모호성 해소(disambiguating) 소프트웨어와, 객체 데이터베이스를 포함하며,사용자가 입력하고자 하는 완전한 단어 또는 단어들 또는 사용자가 취하고자 하는 동작이 사용자 프롬프트 후에 예측되고, 상기 사용자는 상기 입력 디바이스로 특정 부호를 입력하거나 또는 상기 입력 디바이스로 태스크 또는 상태를 변경하는 것과 관련된 특정 동작을 수행하며,상기 예측된 단어가 상기 디스플레이를 통해 상기 사용자에게 제시되거나 또는 상기 장치에 대해 동작이 취해지는 사용자 단어 또는 사용자 동작 중 어느 하나의 예측 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 디스플레이를 통해 상기 사용자에게 제시되며, 복수의 예측된 단어 및 동작 중 어느 하나를 포함하는 선택 리스트와,상기 사용자가 상기 특정 부호를 입력하거나 특정 제어 입력을 한 후에 모호한 엔트리를 형성하는 경우에 상기 선택 리스트를 재정렬하는 수단을 더 포함하는 예측 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 프로세서와 관련하여 컨텍스트 기반의 예측(predictions on a contextual basis)을 형성하는 컨텍스트 데이터베이스를 더 포함하는 예측 장치.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 컨텍스트 예측은 메시지를 받는 사람, 메시지를 기록하는 사람, 날짜, 시간 및 위치 중 어느 하나에 기초하는 예측 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,사용자 입력 또는 동작에 기초하여 구(phrase)가 예측되는 예측 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,문법 또는 의미론(semantics) 중 어느 하나에 기초하여 예측이 이루어지는 예측 장치.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 컨텍스트 예측은 사용자 동작을 예측하는 예측 장치.
- 제 7 항에 있어서,상기 사용자 동작은 메뉴 항목 및 형식 채우기(form filling) 중 어느 하나와 관련하여 실행될 수 있는 예측 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,사용자 입력 패턴 및 동작 중 어느 하나를 저장하는 수단과,상기 저장된 사용자 입력 패턴 및/또는 동작 중 어느 하나를 서버로 업로딩(uploading)하는 수단을 더 포함하는 예측 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 취해진 동작은 상기 장치의 컨텍스트에 기초하여 상기 장치 상태를 자동으로 변경시키는 예측 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 장치는 사용자 동작을 학습하고 상기 학습된 동작을 이용하여 예측을 하는 수단을 더 포함하는 예측 장치.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 컨텍스트는 이전의 단어의 컨텍스트 또는 이전의 단어의 컨텍스트의 수에 기초하는 예측 장치.
- 사용자 단어 또는 사용자 동작 중 어느 하나의 예측 방법에 있어서,사용자가 입력 디바이스에 입력 시퀀스를 입력하거나 또는 상기 입력 디바이스와 관련된 특정 동작을 수행하는 단계와,이에 응답하여, 상기 사용자가 입력하기를 원하는 완전한 그 다음 단어 또는 단어들 또는 사용자가 상기 디바이스로 취하고자 하는 동작을 예측하는 단계를 포함하는 예측 방법.
- 제 13 항에 있어서,복수의 예측된 단어 및 동작 중 어느 하나를 포함하는 선택 리스트를 제공하는 단계와,상기 사용자가 상기 특정 부호를 입력하거나 특정 동작을 수행한 후에 상기 사용자가 모호한 엔트리를 형성하는 경우에 상기 선택 리스트를 재정렬하는 단계를 더 포함하는 예측 방법.
- 제 13 항에 있어서,현재의 입력 시퀀스 내의 컨텍스트(context)가 상기 사용자가 이전에 입력한 입력 시퀀스 내의 컨텍스트 또는 이전에 취해진 동작과 매칭되는 경우에 상기 사용자가 입력하기를 원하는 완전한 그 다음 단어 또는 단어들 또는 상기 디바이스에 의해 취해지는 동작을 예측하는 단계를 더 포함하는 예측 방법.
- 제 15 항에 있어서,상기 컨텍스트는 입력된 상기 텍스트 입력 시퀀스의 컨텍스트에 기초하는 예측 방법.
- 제 16 항에 있어서,상기 컨텍스트를 적어도 하나의 다른 컨텍스트과 결합하는 단계를 더 포함하는 예측 방법.
- 제 17 항에 있어서,상기 컨텍스트는 메시지를 받는 사람, 메시지를 기록하는 사람, 날짜, 시간 및 위치 중 어느 하나를 포함하는 예측 방법.
- 제 15 항에 있어서,컨텍스트으로서 포함하기 위한 가장 유효한 요소를 판정하기 위해 사용자 동작의 온더 플라이(on-the-fly) 요소 분석을 수행하는 단계를 더 포함하는 예측 방법.
- 제 13 항에 있어서,상기 사용자가 특정 부호를 입력하거나 특정 동작을 취하는 단계와,이에 응답하여, 사용자 입력 시퀀스 또는 동작 바로 전의 컨텍스트에 기초하여 메뉴에 대한 키워드를 제공하는 단계와,상기 사용자에게 상기 키워드에 의해 선행된 엔트리로서 컨텍스트 데이터베이스에 저장되어 있는 상기 메뉴로부터 사전에 선택된 상기 사용자 엔트리를 제시하는 단계와,상기 메뉴 내의 상기 엔트리를 재정렬하는 단계와,하나의 메뉴 엔트리가 선택되면, 장래에 재정렬할 때 컨텍스트로서 사용하기 위해 메뉴 태그에 의해 자동으로 이것을 선택된 것으로 표시하는 단계를 포함하는 예측 방법.
- 제 13 항에 있어서,상기 예측 단계는상기 사용자가 특정 부호를 입력하거나 특정 동작을 취하는 단계와,이에 응답하여, 그리고 사용자 입력 시퀀스 또는 동작 직전의 컨텍스트에 기 초하여, 예측되는 다음 상태/애플리케이션에 대한 즉각적인 옵션을 재정렬함으로써 정상 메뉴 포맷을 대체하는 단계를 더 포함하는 예측 방법.
- 제 21 항에 있어서,가장 유망한 옵션을 자동으로 수행하는 단계를 더 포함하는 예측 방법.
- 제 13 항에 있어서,상기 예측 단계는상기 사용자가 특정 부호를 입력하거나 특정 동작을 취하는 단계와,이에 응답하여, 그리고 사용자 입력 시퀀스 직전의 컨텍스트에 기초하여, 형식 내의 적어도 하나의 필드를 채우는 단계를 포함하는 예측 방법.

- 모호한 텍스트 엔트리와 관련한, 사용자 단어 및 사용자 동작 중 어느 하나의 예측을 위한 장치에 있어서,적절한 인터페이싱 회로를 통해 프로세서에 각각 결합된 입력 디바이스 및 디스플레이로서, 상기 프로세서가 상기 입력 디바이스로부터 입력 문자 및 부호를 수신하고 상기 디스플레이로의 객체의 출력 및 상기 장치 내에서의 동작의 어서션(assertion)을 관리하는, 상기 입력 디바이스 및 디스플레이와,사용자 인터페이스(UI)를 포함하는 통합층(integration layer)과,상기 입력 디바이스의 각 키 상에서 발견된 문자 그룹과 관련 단어들의 사전을 결합하고, 상기 사용자가 사용자 입력을 입력할 때 상기 사용자 입력을 인식하고, 상기 사용자가 상기 입력 디바이스로 특정 부호를 포함하는 사용자 프롬프트를 입력하거나 상기 사용자 디바이스로 태스크 또는 상태를 변경하는 것과 관련된 특정 동작을 수행한 후에 사용자가 입력하기를 원하는 완전한 단어 또는 단어들 또는 사용자가 취하고자 하는 동작을 예측하는 코어 엔진과,상기 사용자가 이전에 입력한 단어들에 대한 정보를 포함하며, 상기 코어 엔진과 협력하여 상기 사용자 입력 및/또는 동작과 상기 장치의 동작 모드 중 어느 하나의 컨텍스트에 기초하여 상기 예측을 하기 위한 컨텍스트 데이터베이스를 포함하고,상기 예측된 단어 또는 상기 동작은 상기 디스플레이를 통해 상기 사용자에게 제시되는 예측 장치.
- 제 25 항에 있어서,상기 디스플레이를 통해 상기 사용자에게 제시되며, 복수의 예측된 단어 및 동작 중 어느 하나를 포함하는 선택 리스트와,상기 사용자가 상기 특정 부호를 입력하거나 특정 동작을 취한 후에 모호한 엔트리를 형성하는 경우에 상기 선택 리스트를 재정렬하는 수단을 더 포함하는 예측 장치.
- 제 25 항에 있어서,상기 컨텍스트 예측은 메시지를 받는 사람, 메시지를 기록하는 사람, 날짜, 시간 및 위치 중 어느 하나에 기초하는 예측 장치.

- 제 30 항에 있어서,상기 사용자 동작은 메뉴 항목 및 형식 채우기 중 어느 하나와 관련하여 실행될 수 있는 예측 장치.
- 제 25 항에 있어서,사용자 입력 패턴 및 동작 중 어느 하나를 저장하는 수단과,상기 저장된 사용자 입력 패턴 및/또는 동작 중 어느 하나를 서버로 업로딩하는 수단을 더 포함하는 예측 장치.
- 제 25 항에 있어서,상기 컨텍스트는 입력된 텍스트 입력 시퀀스의 컨텍스트에 기초하는 예측 장치.
- 제 25 항에 있어서,하나의 컨텍스트를 적어도 하나의 다른 컨텍스트와 결합하는 수단을 더 포함하는 예측 장치.
