Abstract

방사선이 투과하는 배향된 층과 방사선을 흡수한 층으로 이루어지는 플라스틱 다층 테이프를 IR 레이저 광선을 사용하여 융합시켜서 조립하는 방법으로, 테이프는 예형된 플라스틱 지지체에 동일한 방법을 사용하여 융합시킨다. 이들 테이프를 플라스틱 코어에 융합시켜서 생성되는 복합 튜브.

Description

조립 방법과 플라스틱 복합 튜브 {ASSEMBLY METHOD AND A PLASTIC COMPOSITE TUBE}
여러 분야에서 조립체 성분의 기계적 강도를 개량하는 플라스틱 조립체를 제조하는 것이 시도되었다.
예를들면, 융합 기술을 사용하여 배향된 플라스틱 요소를 조립하므로서 높은 강성과 높은 기계적 강도의 플라스틱 복합 구조물을 제조하는 것이 알려져 있다. 특히, 융점에 가까운 온도로 유지되는 배향된 플라스틱 섬유의 적층을 압착하여 용융 표면부가 인접하여 접촉을 유지하도록 하고 이들을 융합시켜 조립할 수 있다.
그러나, 이 방법은 실행하는 것이 길고 조절하는 것이 어렵다. 이는 실제 압축 플라스틱 요소를 조립하는데에만 사용될 수 있다(특허출원 GB 2,253,420).
유럽 특허 EP-B1-0 904 441로부터 배향된 플라스틱으로 만든 평행 스트립의 두 배열물로부터 그리드를 제조하는 방법을 알 수 있는데, 이는 90°에 가까운 각도 사이에서 이루어지는 스트립의 두 배열물을 적외선을 사용하여 융합시키는 것이다. 각 스트립은 적외선 투과층과 방사선을 흡수하는 카본 블랙-충전층으로 이루어지는 두-층 구조를 갖는다.
그러나, 이 방법은 굴곡이 있는 구조를 제공하고 압력에 견뎌야 하는 중공체 제조에 적합하지 않다.
본 발명은 전자기 방사선에 의하여 플라스틱 다층 테이프를 조립하는 방법에 관한 것이다.
본 발명의 목적 중 하나는 공지방법의 결함을 갖지 않고, 압력을 견딜 수 있는 불투과성 중공체를 제조하는데 적합한 방법을 제공하는데 있다.
본 발명의 다른 목적은 융합 방법을 행할 때 조립 조작을 용이하게 하는데 있다.
따라서, 본 발명은 최소한 하나의 방향으로 배향되고, 방사선이 투과하는 최소한 하나의 플라스틱 층과 방사선에 의하여 운반된 에너지를 부분적으로 흡수하는 최소한 하나의 층으로 이루어지는 테이프를 전자기 방사선에 의하여 융합시키는 것으로 이루어지는 다층 테이프의 조립 방법에 관한 것으로, 여기서 조립체의 최소한 하나의 테이프의 한 면은 예형된 플라스틱 지지체에 융합시켜서 한다.
"테이프의 조립 방법"이란 표현은 예형된 지지체와 테이프를 함께 결합시켜서 그들의 기계적 성질의 관점에서 보아 그들이 단일체로 형성된 것과 같이 작용하는 방법을 뜻한다.
본 발명에 따른 방법은 다층 테이프, 즉 다른 조성물의 최소한 두개층이 중첩하여 형성된 테이프에 관한 것이다.
이 방법에서 조립 조작은 서로간이나 예형된 지지체에 테이프를 융합시켜서 행한다. "융합"이란 술어는 조립되는 작은 깊이의 테이프 표면 위에 용융 물질을구성한 다음 용융 표면이 서로 접촉하고 이들의 용융 물질이 중첩하여 이루어지는 방식으로 지지체에 테이프를 함께 압축하는 것으로 구성되는 조립 방법을 나타낸다.
본 발명에 따르면, 용융은 융합되는 테이프 표면을 고에너지 방사선으로 조사하여 얻는다.
본 발명에 따른 방법에서 고-에너지 방사선은 전자기 방사선을 뜻한다. 조사는 테이프의 각 개개층을 권취 조작에 놓은 후 또는 이를 길이의 튜브 위에 머무르게 한 후 행한다. 또한, 모든 테이프 층을 최종 테이프를 권취하는 조작과 동시에 놓은 후 또는 대조적으로 최종 테이프 층을 전체 길이의 튜브 위에 놓은 후 단일 단계로 이를 행한다.
본 발명에 따른 방법의 테이프 물질은 플라스틱으로 형성된다. "플라스틱"이란 술어는 최소한 하나의 합성 수지 물질을 함유하는 물질을 뜻한다.
플라스틱으로서는 열가소성 형이 적합하다.
"열가소성"이란 술어는 열가소성 엘라스토머와 이들의 혼합물을 포함하는 열가소성 중합체를 뜻한다. "중합체"란 술어는 두 동종중합체와 공중합체(특히 이성분 또는 삼성분 공중합체)를 뜻한다. 이와 같은 공중합체를 비제한적으로 예를들면, 불규칙 공중합체, 선형 또는 기타 블록형 공중합체와 그래프트 공중합체가 있다.
융점이 분해온도 이하인 열가소성 중합체 또는 공중합체형이 적합하다. 특히 최소한 섭씨 10도 이상으로 분포되는 용융 범위를 갖는 합성 열가소성 물질이 적합하다. 이와같은 물질의 예를들면 그들의 분자량이 다분산하는 것이 있다.
특히, 폴리올레핀, 폴리비닐 할라이드, 열가소성 폴리에스테르, 폴리 케톤, 폴리아미드와 이들의 공중합체를 사용할 수 있다. 또한 중합체 또는 공중합체의 혼합물은 예를들어, 비제한적으로 탄소, 염과 기타 무기 유도체, 천연 또는 중합체 섬유와 같은 무기, 유기 와/또는 천연 충전제와 중합체 물질의 혼합물로서 사용할 수 있다.
폴리올레핀이 좋은 결과를 가져오며, 폴리올레핀 중에서도 고밀도 폴리에틸렌(HDPE)이 바람직하다.
본 발명에 따른 조립 방법에서는 다층 구조를 갖는 플라스틱 테이프를 사용한다. 바람직하기로는 이들이 최소한 하나의 배향된 층을 함유하는 것이다. "배향된 층"이란 술어는 조성물을 만드는 최소한 20중량%의 분자쇄의 중합체가 최소한 동일한 방향으로 배열되는 플라스틱 층을 뜻한다. 배향된 층은 몇몇 다른 방향으로 배열될 수 있다. 따라서, 각 테이프는 한 방향 이상으로 동시에 배향된 층을 함유할 수 있다. 변형으로는 테이프가 각 테이프가 다른 단일 방향으로 배향된 각 층을 함유할 수 있다. 더우기, 테이프의 배향된 층은 한 방향과 동일한 방향으로 배항된다.
본 발명에 따르면 본 방법에 사용된 테이프의 최소한 하나의 배향된 층은 융합에 사용된 전자기 방사선이 투과한다. "투과"란 술어는 투과층 물질 g당 100J 이상을 흡수하지 않는 층을 뜻한다.
본 발명에 따른 방법에서 사용된 테이프는 전자기 방사선에 의하여 운반된에너지를 부분적으로 흡수하는 최소한 하나의 층을 포함한다. "부분 흡수"란 술어는 흡수제 층 물질의 g당 300J 이상인 방사선 에너지의 흡수를 뜻한다.
본 발명에 따르면 조립체의 최소한 하나의 테이프의 한 면이 플라스틱 지지체에 융합된다. 지지체의 플라스틱은 테이프의 투과층과 동일하다. 다른 한편으로 이는 테이프의 투과층과 성질상 다른 플라스틱으로 이루어질 수 있다.
바람직하기로는 조립체의 최소한 하나의 테이프 한 면의 융합은 테이프를 함께 접합시키는데 사용되는 것과 동일한 전자기 방사선 융합 방법을 사용하여 행하는 것이다.
테이프를 융합하는 플라스틱 지지체가 배향되거나 또는 배향되지 않은 구조를 갖는지 여부는 문제되지 않는다.
바람직하기로는 플라스틱 지지체의 구조가 배항되지 않는 것이다.
본 발명에 따른 방법으로 융합하여 조립체를 형성할 수 있는 테이프의 수는 광범위하다. 일반적으로 짝수의 테이프를 함께 접합시키는 것이 바람직하다. 특히 최소한 두 개의 테이프를 융합시킬 때 유용한 결과를 얻는다. 바람직하기로는 최대한 8개의 테이프를 융합시키는 것이다.
본 발명에 따른 방법을 이행하는 바람직한 방법에 있어, 사용된 전자기 방사선이 최소한 700㎚의 파장을 갖는 것이다. 또한, 파장이 최대한 1200㎚인 전자기 방사선을 사용하는 것이 바람직하다.
가장 바람직하기로는 전자기 방사선이 적외선일 때이다. 방출된 전체 범위의 주파수 위에서 연속 스펙트럼을 갖는 IR 급원이 적합하고, 특히 파장 범위내에서주로 방출하는 급원은 테이프의 투과층에 의하여 흡수되지 않는다. 이와 같은 IR 급원의 예를들면, 1000㎚ 범위에서 방출되는 것과 같은 매우 짧은 파장을 갖는 것이다.
가장 좋은 결과는 레이저 형의 응집 적외선으로 얻는다. 이와 같은 방사선 급원의 예를들면 다이오드 레이저와 Nd:YAG(네오디뮴:이트륨 알루미네이트 석류석) 레이저가 있다.
본 발명의 방법을 실행하는데 특히 유익한 방법의 하나에 따르면, 테이프를 튜브형 지지체의 주위에 권취하여 융합시키는 것이다. 이 경우에 조립 방법에 의하여 얻는 결과는 배향된 플라스틱 테이프의 최소한 하나의 층에 의하여 보강된 튜브에 있다.
일반적으로 튜브형 지지체는 플라스틱으로 만든다. 이러한 플라스틱의 성질은 테이프 흡수제층의 플라스틱과 융합으로 상화할 수 있는 것에서 선택한다. 유리하기로는 비배향된 플라스틱을 튜브형 지지체로 선택하는 것이다.
본 발명에 따른 방법에서 방사선을 흡수할 수 있는 물질의 성질은 변한다. 이는 이들 조성물이 혼합되는 흡수제 층의 플라스틱과 쉽게 혼합될 수 있는 조성물에서 선택한다. 좋은 결과는 카본 블랙에서 얻는다. 바람직하기로는 전자기 방사선의 흡수가 전체가 아닐 때이다. 더우기 열을 발생시키는데 충분한 흡수치를 고려해야 한다. 실제 흡수제 층 물질의 g 당 최소한 300J의 흡수 수준이 좋은 결과를 가져온다.
상술한 실행 방법과 양립할 수 있는 본 발명에 따른 방법을 실행하는데 유리한 방법의 하나는 외주변에 권취되고 융합되는 테이프가 40-70°범위의 튜브 방향에 대한 각도를 이루는 것이다. 우수한 결과는 이 각도가 55°에 근접할 때 얻는다. 또한, 배열은 이들과 교차되는 이전의 두께로 접합되는 테이프의 각 두께에 대하여 이루어진다. 실제 좋은 결과는 튜브의 방향에 대한 각도가 이전 테이프의 두께의 반대일 때 얻는다.
또한, 본 발명은 최소한 두 개의 인접한 두께를 갖는 다층 테이프를 융합한 비배향된 플라스틱 코어를 함유하는 플라스틱 복합 튜브에 관한 것으로, 이 테이프는 함께 권취되고 접합되며, 여기서 각 테이프의 최소한 하나의 층은 전자기 방사선이 투과하는 플라스틱으로 형성되고, 각 테이프의 최소한 하나의 다른 층은 이러한 전자기 방사선을 흡수하는 물질로 이루어지는 것이다.
바람직하기로는 인접한 두께의 테이프가 교차될 때이고, 즉 이들이 이들 사이에서 80-140°범위의 각도를 이루도록 배열되는 것이다.
본 발명에 따른 방법의 경우에 상기 정의한 특수한 술어는 복합 튜브에서와 동일한 의미를 갖는다. 또한, 상술한 방법을 실행하는 여러가지 다른 방법을 본 발명에 따른 복합 튜브에 대하여 사용할 수 있다.
바람직하기로는 흡수재를 함유하는 테이프 층은 투과층과 동일한 방법으로 배항된다. 배향은 투과층과는 완전히 독립적이거나 선택적으로 흡수제 층의 배향이 투과층과 동일한 방향으로 위치하는 것이 바람직하다.
본 발명에 따른 튜브의 특수한 구성의 하나로는 투과층과 동일한 방향으로 배향되는 동일한 플라스틱을 함유하고, 이러한 방사선을 흡수하는 물질을 더 포함하는 두 개의 더 얇은 층 사이에 위치하는 배향된 투과물질의 단일 층을 구성하는 테이프로 이루어지는 것이다. 이 구성에서 각 테이프의 투과층은 투과층 물질의 g 당 100J를 초과하지 않는 700-1200㎜ 범위의 파장에서 전자기 방사선 흡수를 갖는 것이 유리하다.
다음 실시예는 범위를 한정하지 않고 본 발명을 예시한 것이다.
먼저, 첫째 직경 60㎜로 투과층용 안료의 부재와는 별개로 하는 통상의 수지와 동일한 Solvay Polyolein Europe에서 상표명 ELTEXPE 100 TUB 121로 판매하고 있는 고밀도 폴리에틸렌을 50㎏/h로 생산하고 50rpm으로 회전하는 장벽 압출기 스크류가 장착된 두개의 압출기에 연결된 반월형 피드백을 통하여 공급되는 높이 5㎜ 개구를 갖는 폭 400㎜의 평다이에서 함께 압출하여 이층 테이프를 제조한다. 흡수제 층의 제이 압출기에 사용되는 수지는 카본 블랙 충전제를 함유하는 통상의 수지 ELTEXPE 100 TUB 121이다.
다이를 나온 이층 시트를 50℃에서 다듬질 캘린더로 통과시킨 다음 115℃로 열조절하고, 이를 6개의 조절 롤 위를 통과시킨 후 두 연속 통과물을 연신 트레인에서 연신 조작하여 배향된 테이프로 변환시키며, 이 롤은 증가된 속도로 회전한다(제일 통과에서 680% 연신과 제이 통과에서 30%). 배향된 테이프를 냉각한 다음 세로 방향으로 약 10%로 약간 수축시킨다.
두 연속 두께가 튜브축에 대하여 +55°와 -55°의 각도롤 교차하도록 외경50㎜이고, 벽두께가 3.2㎜인 ELTEXPE 100 TUB 121 고밀도 폴리에틸렌으로 만든 튜브형 코어 상에 배향된 테이프를 수동으로 권취하고, 카본 블랙 충전층은 튜브에 직면하게 한다.
다음, 테이프를 튜브의 전체 외면 위에 권취한 후, 30W의 전력과 800㎚의 파장을 갖는 상표 COHERENT의 다이오드 레이저 급원에 의하여 권취된 테이프를 수용하는 이 튜브의 전체 표면을 청소하여 테이프를 서로 및 튜브에 융합시키며, 레이저 빔은 8㎜ 직경으로 조준시킨다. 레이저 빔에서 튜브의 전진과 융합의 선형 속도는 0.72m/min이다.
얻은 튜브의 파열 강도를 레이저 광선에 의한 테이프 융합의 최종 조작을 받지 않은 동일한 튜브의 파열 강도와 비교한다. 얻은 결과는 다음과 같다:
융합된 테이프 개별 테이프(비융합된 것)
파열 압력 (바아) 120 80
테이프를 융합하는 것은 파열 강도를 50%까지 증가시킴을 알 수 있다.
융합된 테이프로 얻은 튜브는 부분적으로 카본 블랙을 함유하는 단일형의 수지만으로 구성되기 때문에, 통상 제조한 소편을 튜브형 코어를 제조하는 공정에 재순환시킬 수 있다.

Claims (10)

  1. 최소한 한 방향으로 배향되고, 방사선이 투과하는 최소한 하나의 플라스틱 층과 방사선에 의하여 운반되는 에너지를 부분적으로 흡수하는 최소한 하나의 층으로 이루어지는 테이프를 전자기 방사선에 의하여 융합시키는 다층 테이프의 조립 방법에 있어서, 조립체 중 최소한 하나의 테이프의 한 면이 예형된 플라스틱 지지체에 융합됨을 특징으로 하는 다층 테이프의 조립 방법.
  2. 전술한 항에 있어서, 최소한 두개의 테이프가 융합됨을 특징으로 하는 조립 방법.
  3. 전술한 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 테이프의 플라스틱의 최소한 하나의 층이 단일 방향으로 배향됨을 특징으로 하는 조립 방법.
  4. 전술한 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 전자기 방사선의 700-1200㎚ 범위의 파장을 가짐을 특징으로 하는 조립 방법.
  5. 전술한 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 전자기 방사선이 레이저 광선임을 특징으로 하는 조립 방법.
  6. 전술한 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 예형된 플라스틱 지지체가 비 배향된 튜브형 플라스틱 지지체임을 특징으로 하는 조립 방법.
  7. 전술한 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 전자기 방사선을 흡수할 수 있는 물질이 카본 블랙임을 특징으로 하는 조립 방법.
  8. 최소한 두 개의 인접한 두께의 다층 테이프를 융합하고, 이 테이프를 함께 권취하고 접합시킨 비 배향된 플라스틱 코어를 함유하는 플라스틱 복합 튜브에 있어서, 각 테이프의 최소한 하나의 층이 전자기 방사선이 투과하는 플라스틱으로 형성되고 최소한 한 방향으로 배향되며, 각 테이프의 최소한 하나의 다른 층이 이 전자기 방사선을 흡수하는 물질을 함유함을 특징으로 하는 플라스틱 복합 튜브.
  9. 전술한 항에 있어서, 흡수재를 함유하는 층이 배향됨을 특징으로 하는 복합 튜브.
  10. 투과층과 동일한 방향으로 배향되는 플라스틱을 함유하고 방사선을 흡수하는 물질을 포함하는 두개의 얇은 층 사이에 위치하고, 700-1200㎚ 범위의 파장으로 전자기 방사선이 투과하는 배향된 물질의 층으로 테이프가 형성됨을 특징으로 하는 전술한 항에 따른 테이프.
