Claims (10)
- 50몰% 초과의 수소를 함유한 공급 스트림을 정제하기 위한 압력 스윙 흡착(PSA)법에 있어서, 이러한 스트림으로부터 질소를 실질적으로 전부 흡착하기 위하여 스트림을 캐버자이트, 에리오나이트, 클리노프틸로라이트 및 포우저사이트 제오라이트로 구성된 군으로부터 선택된 천연 제오라이트의 한 층, 또는 CaX, LiA, LiX 및 VSA6 흡착제로 구성된 군으로부터 선택되는 2.0 내지 2.5 범위내의 SiO2/Al2O3비를 가진 합성 제오라이트 흡착제 한 층을 통하여 통과시키기 전에 H2O, CO2, CH4및 CO의 군으로부터 하나 이상의 오염물이 가스 스트림으로부터 흡착되는, 공급 스트림을 대기압을 초과하는 압력에서 다층 흡착제 베드를 통하여 통과시키는 단계 및 정제된 (>99.9%) 수소를 다층 흡착 베드로부터 생성물로서 회수하는 단계를 포함하는 압력 스윙 흡착 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 공급 스트림이 3% 미만의 N2및 바람직하게는 1.5% 미만의 N2를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 압력 스윙 흡착 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 제오라이트 흡착제를 통하여 통과되기 직전의 가스 스트림이 평균 0.15몰% 미만의 CO2를 함유하는 것을 특징으로 하는 압력 스윙 흡착 방법.
- 재 1항에 있어서, 처리되는 공급 가스 스트림이 60 내지 90몰%의 수소를 함유하는 합성 가스인 것을 특징으로 하는 압력 스윙 흡착 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 제오라이트가 90% 초과의 Ca 이온 교환된 타입 X인 것을 특징으로 하는 압력 스윙 흡착 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 공급 가스 스트림이 우선 H2O 흡착을 위한 알루미나층을 함유한 흡착제 베드를 통하여 통과된 다음, CO, CH4및 CO2의 흡착을 위한 활성탄층을 통과한 후, 질소 흡착을 위한 제오라이트층을 통과하는 것을 특징으로 하는 압력 스윙 흡착 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서, H2O, CO2, CH4및 CO가 천연 흡착제 또는 합성 제오라이트 흡착제를 통한 스트림 통과에 앞서 가스 스트림으로부터 실질적으로 흡착되는 것을 특징으로 하는 압력 스윙 흡착 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 5 내지 20바의 압력에서 표 1에 예시된 12 단계 PSA 단계를 이용하여 스트림을 각 베드가 가스 스트림으로부터 질소를 흡착하기 위한 천연 또는 합성 제오라이트층을 포함한 4개 흡착제 베드를 통하여 통과시키는 단계를 포함하는 압력 스윙 흡착 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 총 베드 크기 인자가 수소의 9,000lb/TPD 미만이고, 대략 80% 이상의 수소 회수율이 얻어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 압력 스윙 흡착 방법.
- 각 흡착제 베드가 H2O 제거용 흡착제층, 이산화탄소 제거용 흡착제층, 2.0 내지 2.5 범위내의 SiO2/Al2O3비를 가진 N2제거용 CaX, LiA, LiX 또는 VSA6 제오라이트 흡착제의 흡착제층을 포함하는 공급 가스 스트림 정제용 PSA 시스템.
