Abstract
본 발명은 높은 하중에 견디는 동기 구동 벨트(synchronous drive belts)에 사용될 수 있는 아연 메타크릴레이트 또는 산화 아연 및 메타크릴산의 혼합물로 개질된 수소화 아크릴로니트릴 부타디엔 고무 및 비개질된 수소화 아크릴로니트릴 부타디엔 고무의 혼합물을 기제로 하는 모듈러스가 높은 조성물 및 이로부터 만들어진 벨트에 관한 것이다.
Description
본 발명은 높은 하중력에 견디는 동기 구동 벨트(synchronous drive belts)에 특히 사용하기 적합한 높은 모듈러스를 갖는 탄성 중합체 조성물에 관한 것이다.
수소화 아크릴로니트릴-부타디엔(HNBR) 고무를 벨트, 특히 자동차용 벨트에 사용하는 것은 과거로부터 제시되어 왔다. 문헌[트레보 에. 브라운(Trevor A. Brown)의 HNBR 벨트에서의 최대 열저항성 및 최대 내하중 용량을 위한 혼합물 Rubber World magazine, 1993년 10월, 53면 및 벨트 화합물을 향상시키기 위한 HNBR의 용도 Rubber Plastic News, 1993년 6월 7일, 45면]을 참조할 수 있다. 또한, 미국 특허 제 5,405,690 호를 참조할 수 있다. 그러나, 조성물이 무엇인가에 대한 제시는 없었다.
본 발명의 실시에 따라 하기를 포함하는 탄성 중합체 조성물이 제공된다:
a) 아연 메타크릴레이트 또는 산화 아연 및 메타크릴산의 혼합물로 개질된, 고무 100부당 50 내지 95 중량부(phr)의 HNBR;
b) 5 내지 50phr의 비개질 HNBR;
c) 0.5 내지 10phr의 과산화물 경화 보조제;
d) 0.25 내지 20phr의 유기 과산화물; 및
e) 1 내지 20phr의 페놀계 수지.
산화 아연 및 메타크릴산으로 개질된 HNBR의 전형적인 예는 닛본 제온 캄파니(Noppon Zeon Co)로부터 시판중인 Zetpol ZSC2295이다. 또한, 비개질된 HNBR의 예는 닛본 제온 캄파니(Noppon Zeon Co)로부터 시판중인 Zetpol 2020이다.
전형적인 과산화물 경화 보조제는 트리메틸올프로판 트리메타크릴레이트, 3작용성 오르가노실록산, 트리알릴 시아누레이트 및 트리알릴 이소시아누레이트이다. 0.5 내지 10 phr의 보조제가 사용될 수 있지만, 3 내지 6 phr이 바람직하다.
본 발명에 사용될 수 있는 전형적인 유기 과산화물은 1,3-비스(t-부틸퍼옥시-1-프로필)벤젠, 디쿠밀 과산화물 및 α,α-비스(t-부틸퍼옥시)발레레이트이다. 0.25 내지 20phr의 과산화물이 사용될 수 있지만, 1.5 내지 4.5phr이 바람직하다.
본 발명에 사용될 수 있는 전형적인 페놀계 수지는 페놀 포름알데히드 수지이다. 오일-개질된 열경화성 페놀 포름알데히드 수지가 바람직하다. 1 내지 20phr의 페놀계 수지가 사용될 수 있지만, 6 내지 12phr이 바람직하다. 페놀계 수지는 경화 벨트에서 보강재에 대한 높은 접착성을 제공할 뿐만 아니라 용매를 사용하지 않고도 종래의 탄성 중합체 가공 기구에 상기 벨트를 장착할 수 있게 한다.
상술된 성분이외에도, 상기 조성물은 충진제, 산화 방지제, 오존 방지제, 가공 보조제등과 같은 고무 혼합에 상용적으로 사용되는 기타 물질을 함유할 수 있다. 특히, 5 내지 50phr의 N330 카본 블랙이 바람직하다.
본 발명의 조성물은 섬유 보강재를 사용하지 않고도 충분한 강성을 제공하는 돌기(teech)를 갖는 동기 구동 벨트를 제공하는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이러한 성질의 측정치로서, 10%의 신장율에서의 모듈러스는 5.2 내지 7.25MPa인 것이 바람직하다.
본 발명에 따른 조성물은 높은 하중에 견딜 수 있는 동기 구동 벨트에 적합하게 사용될 수 있다.
본 발명의 예시를 위하여, 대표적인 특정 실시양태 및 설명이 상술되어 있지만 본 발명의 범주 및 범위를 벗어나지 않고 여러 변화 및 변경이 가능함을 당 분야의 전문가들은 알 수 있다.
Claims (7)
- a) 아연 메타크릴레이트 또는 산화 아연 및 메타크릴산의 혼합물로 개질된, 50 내지 95 중량부의 HNBR;b) 5 내지 50 중량부의 비개질된 HNBR;c) 0.5 내지 10 중량부의 과산화물 경화 보조제;d) 0.25 내지 20 중량부의 유기 과산화물; 및e) 1 내지 20 중량부의 페놀계 수지를 포함함을 특징으로 하는 탄성 중합체 조성물.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 5 내지 50중량부의 카본 블랙을 추가로 포함하는 조성물.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 과산화물 경화 보조제는 트리메틸올프로판 트리메타크릴레이트인 조성물.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 과산화물이 α,α-비스(t-부틸퍼옥시)발레레이트인 조성물.
- 제 2 항에 있어서, 10% 신장율에서 5.2 내지 7.25MPa의 모듈러스를 갖는 조성물.
- a) 아연 메타크릴레이트 또는 산화 아연 및 메타크릴산의 혼합물로 개질된, 50 내지 95 중량부의 HNBR;b) 5 내지 50 중량부의 비개질된 HNBR;c) 0.5 내지 10 중량부의 과산화물 경화 보조제;d) 0.25 내지 20 중량부의 유기 과산화물; 및e) 1 내지 20 중량부의 페놀계 수지를 포함하는 탄성 중합체 조성물로부터 만들어진 동력 전달 벨트.
- 제 6 항에 있어서, 5 내지 50 중량부의 카본 블랙을 추가로 포함하는 벨트.
