Claims (24)
- 가속도에 응답성이 있는 적어도 하나의 센서를 구비하고, 실질적으로 차량의 길이 방향 중앙선을 따라서 위치된, 센서 유니트;안전 장치를 작용시키는 것으로서, 센서 유니트로부터 이격되어 위치된, 액튜에이터; 및,센서 유니트와 액튜에이터로부터 이격되어 위치되는 제어 유니트로서, 제어 유니트는 센서 유니트로부터 정보를 수신하고 작동 명령을 액튜에이터로 송신하여 안전 장치를 작용시키도록 작동될 수 있으며, 제어 유니트는 가속도에 응답성이 있는 센서를 구비하지 않는, 제어 유니트;를 구비하고,센서 유니트는 센서 유니트의 센서들에 의해 수집된 데이터를 샘플링(sampling)하기 위한 신호 프로세서를 구비하며,신호 프로세서는 충돌 알고리듬(crash algorithm)을 수행하도록 작동되고, 충돌 알고리듬은 신호 프로세서로 하여금 제어 유니트에 명령하여 작동 명령을 액튜에이터에 송신하도록 하는, 차량 안전 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,센서 유니트는 차량의 중앙 터널상에 위치되는, 차량 안전 시스템.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,센서 유니트는 가속도에 응답성이 있는 적어도 2 개의 센서들을 구비하고, 상기 센서들은 차량의 적어도 길이 방향과 측방향의 가속도를 측정하도록 구성되는, 차량 안전 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,가속도에 응답성이 있는 적어도 하나의 센서는 차량의 수직 가속도를 측정하도록 구성되는, 차량 안전 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,신호 프로세서는 샘플링된 데이터를 제어 유니트로 송신하도록 작동될 수 있는, 차량 안전 시스템.

- 제 1 항에 있어서,액튜에이터는 안전 장치를 작용시키는 에너지를 저장하도록 구성된 캐패시터를 구비하는 유니트(unit)내에 위치되고, 캐패시터는 작동 명령에 응답하여 안전 장치를 작용시키도록 방전되는, 차량 안전 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,차량의 좌측에 있는 적어도 하나의 좌측 센서 및 차량의 우측에 있는 적어도 하나의 우측 센서를 더 구비하는, 차량 안전 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,제어 유니트는 차량의 주 배터리에 연결되고, 동력을 센서 유니트 및 액튜에이터에 공급하는, 차량 안전 시스템.
