Claims (9)
- 삭제
- 한 쌍의 기판 사이에 유전 이방성이 부인 액정을 포함하는 액정층을 유지한 액정 표시 장치로서,표시 단위를 구성하는 도트 영역 내에서, 상기 한 쌍의 기판 중 한쪽 기판측에는, 유전체와, 평면적으로 봤을 때 상기 유전체와 겹치지 않는 위치에 배치된 배향 제어 구조물이 마련되고,상기 유전체의 유전율을 εt1, 상기 액정의 장축 방향의 유전율을 ε//, 단축 방향의 유전율을 ε⊥로 했을 때에, εt1>ε//의 관계를 갖고 있는것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 액정에 전압을 인가한 때에, 상기 유전체와 상기 배향 제어 구조물과의 사이에서 상기 액정이 상반되는 방향으로 쓰러지지 않는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 배향 제어 구조물은 유전율 εt2를 갖는 다른 유전체이며, 상기 액정 의 유전율 ε//에 대하여, ε//>εt2의 관계를 갖고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 배향 제어 구조물은 상기 도트 영역의 전극에 형성된 개구 슬릿과, 해당 개구 슬릿의 내측에 마련되고, 유전율 εt2가 ε//>εt2의 관계를 갖는 다른 유전체를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 한 쌍의 기판 사이에 유전 이방성이 부인 액정층을 포함하는 액정층을 유지한 액정 표시 장치로서,표시 단위를 구성하는 도트 영역 내에서, 상기 한 쌍의 기판 중 한쪽 기판측에는 제 1 유전체가 형성되고, 다른쪽 기판측에는 평면적으로 봤을 때 상기 제 1 유전체와 겹치지 않는 위치에 제 2 유전체가 형성되고,상기 제 1 유전체의 유전율을 εt1, 상기 제 2 유전체의 유전율을 εt2, 상기 액정의 장축 방향의 유전율을 ε//, 단축 방향의 유전율을 ε⊥로 했을 때에, εt1>ε// 및 εt2>ε//의 관계를 갖는것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 2, 3, 6 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 도트 영역 내에, 반사 표시를 행하는 반사 표시 영역과, 투과 표시를 행하는 투과 표시 영역이 마련되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 청구항 2, 3, 6 중 어느 한 청구항에 기재된 액정 표시 장치를 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 전자기기.
- 제 2 항 또는 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 배향 제어 구조물은 상기 도트 영역 내의 전극에 형성된 개구 슬릿 또는 상기 전극의 가장자리 단부인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
