Abstract
Description
まず、図1を参照して、本実施形態の複合材について説明する。図1に示されるように、複合材100は、例えば、合成樹脂フィルム50と、クモ糸フィブロインからなる繊維を含む生地である布60と、が交互に積層され、密着してなる構造を有する。合成樹脂フィルム50および布60は、加熱加圧されることで、互いに密着している。例えば、合成樹脂フィルム50および布60の積層体を加熱することで合成樹脂フィルム50が溶融し、その積層体を加圧することで、溶融した合成樹脂フィルム50の一部が布60に含浸する。例えばこの溶融と含浸によって、合成樹脂フィルム50と布60とが密着した状態が得られる。複合材100の表面側および裏面側は合成樹脂フィルム50であってもよいが、これに限られず、複合材100の表面側および裏面側に布60が露出してもよい。また、合成樹脂フィルム50および布60が必ずしも交互に積層されている必要はなく、いずれかの層が連続して積層されていてもよい。
クモ糸フィブロインは、天然クモ糸タンパク質、及び天然クモ糸タンパク質に由来するポリペプチド(人工クモ糸タンパク質)からなる群より選ばれるクモ糸ポリペプチドを含有していてもよい。
クモ糸フィブロイン繊維を含む布の製造に用いられるクモ糸フィブロイン繊維は、短繊維であってもよいし、長繊維であってもよい。クモ糸フィブロイン繊維は、単独で使用されてもよく、又は他の繊維と組み合わされて使用されてもよい。すなわち、布を製造する際には、材料糸として、クモ糸フィブロイン繊維のみからなる単独糸と、クモ糸フィブロイン繊維と他の繊維とを組み合わせてなる複合糸とが、それぞれ単独で用いられてもよい。あるいは、材料糸として、それらの単独糸および複合糸が組み合わされて用いられてもよい。なお、他の繊維とは、タンパク質を含まない繊維等をいう。単独糸には、撚糸、無撚糸等が含まれる。単独糸は撚糸であることが好ましく、その場合、撚糸は、Z撚りであってもよく、S撚りの撚糸であってもよい。複合糸には、例えば、混紡糸、混繊糸、カバーリング糸等が含まれ得る。
上述した複合材100では、合成樹脂フィルム50が用いられている。合成樹脂フィルム50に熱可塑性ポリウレタンフィルムが用いられる場合、クモ糸フィブロイン繊維と同等以上の引張伸度を有する熱可塑性ポリウレタンが用いられ得る。熱可塑性ポリウレタンは、ポリエステル系の熱可塑性ポリウレタンエラストマーであってもよく、ポリエーテル系の熱可塑性ポリウレタンエラストマーであってもよく、その他の種類であってもよい。複合材には、合成樹脂フィルム50以外の合成樹脂フィルム/シートが用いられてもよい。布の引張伸度と等しいか、又はそれより大きい引張伸度を有する合成樹脂フィルム/シートであれば、他の材料が用いられてもよい。例えば、合成樹脂フィルム/シートは、高伸度の熱硬化性ポリウレタンからなってもよい。
本実施形態の複合材100の製造方法について説明する。図3は、複合材の製造手順を概略的に示す図である。図3に示されるように、まず、複数枚の合成樹脂フィルム50Aと、複数枚の布60Aと、を用意する。合成樹脂フィルム50Aと布60Aとは、予め、フィルム状またはシート状に加工されている。これらの合成樹脂フィルム50Aおよび布60Aを交互に積層し、積層体100Aを得る。そして、積層体100Aを加熱加圧(加熱圧縮)する。この加熱加圧工程には、公知のプレス機が用いられ得る。その後、積層体100Aを放冷(冷却)し、本実施形態の複合材100を得る。複合材100は、公知の成形方法によって成形され得る。
<(1)クモ糸フィブロイン(PRT799)の製造>
(クモ糸フィブロインをコードする遺伝子の合成、及び発現ベクターの構築)
ネフィラ・クラビペス(Nephila clavipes)由来のフィブロイン(GenBankアクセッション番号:P46804.1、GI:1174415)の塩基配列及びアミノ酸配列に基づき、配列番号2で示されるアミノ酸配列を有する改変フィブロイン(以下、「PRT799」ともいう。)を設計した。
IPTGを添加してから2時間後に回収した菌体を20mM Tris−HCl buffer(pH7.4)で洗浄した。洗浄後の菌体を約1mMのPMSFを含む20mMTris−HCl緩衝液(pH7.4)に懸濁させ、高圧ホモジナイザー(GEA Niro Soavi社)で細胞を破砕した。破砕した細胞を遠心分離し、沈殿物を得た。得られた沈殿物を、高純度になるまで20mM Tris−HCl緩衝液(pH7.4)で洗浄した。洗浄後の沈殿物を100mg/mLの濃度になるように8M グアニジン緩衝液(8M グアニジン塩酸塩、10mM リン酸二水素ナトリウム、20mM NaCl、1mM Tris−HCl、pH7.0)で懸濁し、60℃で30分間、スターラーで撹拌し、溶解させた。溶解後、透析チューブ(三光純薬株式会社製のセルロースチューブ36/32)を用いて水で透析を行った。透析後に得られた白色の凝集タンパク質(PRT799)を遠心分離により回収し、凍結乾燥機で水分を除き、凍結乾燥粉末を回収した。
ジメチルスルホキシド(DMSO)に、上述のクモ糸フィブロイン(PRT799)を濃度24質量%となるよう添加した後、溶解促進剤としてLiClを濃度4.0質量%添加し、その後、シェーカーを使用して3時間溶解させた。その後、ゴミと泡を取り除き、ドープ液とした。ドープ液の溶液粘度は90℃において5000cP(センチポアズ)であった。
上記のようにして得られたドープ液と図2に示される紡糸装置10を用いて公知の乾湿式紡糸を行って、クモ糸フィブロインのモノフィラメントを得た。なお、ここでは、乾湿式紡糸を下記の条件で行った。
押出しノズル直径:0.1mm
押出し速度:327.6ml/h
凝固液(メタノール)の温度:2℃
巻取り速度:99.5m/min
延伸倍率:4.52倍
乾燥温度:80℃
エアギャップ長さ:5mm
上記のようにして得られたモノフィラメントを複数本束ねて180デニールとし、Z撚りの撚糸を得た。この撚糸を2本用いて、360デニールの諸撚糸を得た。そして、この諸撚糸を用いて、厚み0.2mmの織布(平織、目付=30m/m)を作製した。
熱可塑性ポリウレタン(BASFジャパン社製「エラストラン」(国際登録商標)の「1180A」)を押出成形することで、厚み0.2mmのフィルムを作製した。そのフィルムを100mm×100mmにカットし、複合化用の素材とした。この熱可塑性ポリウレタンフィルムの引張伸度は、320%であった。
上記ようにして作製した織布および熱可塑性ポリウレタンフィルムを2枚ずつ用い、フィルム−織布−フィルム−織布の順に積層した。プレス機((株)山本鉄工所製「CTA1−100」)を用いてその積層体を180℃で加熱加圧して密着させ、その後放冷した。これを100mm×25mmにカットして、厚み0.6mm、Vf(繊維体積含有率)15%の試験片とした(図3の複合材100B参照)。
また、比較のために、上記実施例と同じ熱可塑性ポリウレタンを押出成形することで、厚み0.6mmのシートを作製した。これを100mm×25mmにカットして、試験片とした。すなわち、この比較例1に係る試験片は、熱可塑性ポリウレタンのみの試験片である。応力歪み特性の測定は、上記実施例と同様に行った。
また、比較のために、上記実施例と同じ熱可塑性ポリウレタンフィルムと、シルク織布(荒井(株)製「TH241」/朱子織)とを用いて、上記実施例と同様に複合化し、厚み0.6mm、Vf15%の試験片を作製した。すなわち、この比較例2に係る試験片は、シルク織布と熱可塑性ポリウレタンからなる複合材である。応力歪み特性の測定は、上記実施例と同様に行った。
引張試験の結果、実施例、比較例1および比較例2について、図4に示される応力歪み特性が得られた。図4において、縦軸は、比較例1(熱可塑性ポリウレタンのみ)における応力の最大値を1とした応力の指数で表されている。図4に示されるように、実施例の波形は、比較例1,2の波形に比べて、衝撃吸収部材として望ましい矩形に近い形になっていることがわかった。
Claims (6)
- クモ糸フィブロインからなる繊維を含む布と、前記布の引張伸度と等しいか又は前記布の引張伸度より大きい引張伸度を有する合成樹脂フィルム/シートとが積層され密着してなる複合材。
- 前記合成樹脂フィルム/シートが熱可塑性ポリウレタンからなる、請求項1に記載の複合材。
- 前記布が織布である、請求項1または2に記載の複合材。
- クモ糸フィブロインからなる繊維を含む布と、前記布の引張伸度と等しいか又は前記布の引張伸度より大きい引張伸度を有する合成樹脂フィルム/シートとを積層し、その積層体を加熱加圧することで前記布と前記合成樹脂フィルム/シートとを密着させる、複合材の製造方法。
- 前記合成樹脂フィルム/シートが熱可塑性ポリウレタンからなる、請求項4に記載の複合材の製造方法。
- 前記布が織布である、請求項4または5に記載の複合材の製造方法。
