Abstract
Description
実施形態の被覆工具1は、図1などに示すように、基体3及び被覆層5を備えている。図2に示す一例における基体3は、第1面7(図2における上面)と、第1面7の反対側に位置する第2面9(図2における下面)と、第1面7及び第2面9の間に位置する第3面11(図2における側面)とを有している。

次に、実施形態の切削工具101について図面を用いて説明する。
次に、本発明の実施形態の切削加工物の製造方法について図面を用いて説明する。

Claims (11)
- 第1面を有する基体と、前記第1面の上に位置する被覆層とを備えた被覆工具であって、
前記被覆層は、複数のα−Al2O3の結晶粒子を含有する第1層を有し、
前記α−Al2O3の結晶粒子の少なくとも1つは、配向が異なる異配向領域を少なくとも2つ有する異配向結晶粒子である、被覆工具。 - 前記異配向結晶粒子の少なくとも1つは、前記異配向領域を3つ以上有する、請求項1に記載の被覆工具。
- 前記異配向結晶粒子の少なくとも1つにおいて、前記異配向領域の境界が前記第1層の厚み方向に沿って延びている、請求項1に記載の被覆工具。
- 前記第1層は、
前記基体と対向する面Aと、
前記面Aと反対側に位置する面Bとを有し、
前記異配向結晶粒子の少なくとも1つは、前記面Aから前記面Bにかけて位置している、請求項3に記載の被覆工具。 - 前記第1層は、複数の前記異配向結晶粒子が隣接している部分を有する、請求項1〜4のいずれか1つに記載の被覆工具。
- 複数の前記異配向結晶粒子は、前記第1層の厚み方向に沿って隣接している、請求項5に記載の被覆工具。
- 複数の前記異配向結晶粒子は、前記第1層の厚み方向に直交する方向に沿って隣接している、請求項5又は6に記載の被覆工具。
- 前記異配向結晶粒子の平均粒径が、前記異配向結晶粒子以外の結晶粒子の平均粒径よりも大きい、請求項1〜7のいずれか1つに記載の被覆工具。
- 前記2つの異配向領域の境界が、Σ3型結晶粒界である、請求項1〜8のいずれか1つに記載の被覆工具。
- 先端側に位置するポケットを有するホルダと、
前記ポケット内に位置する、請求項1〜9のいずれか1つに記載の被覆工具とを有する切削工具。 - 請求項10に記載の切削工具を回転させる工程と、
回転している前記切削工具を被削材に接触させる工程と、
前記切削工具を前記被削材から離す工程とを備えた切削加工物の製造方法。
