Abstract
Description
一般式:(Gd1−a−bPraMb)2O2S…(1)
表1に示したガドリニウム酸硫化物粉末を用意した。なお、ガドリニウム酸硫化物粉末は、(Gd0.999、Pr0.001)2O2±0.01S1±0.01を使用した。次に、上記粉末について、表1に示す条件で水洗工程、水洗時に一定時間浸漬、水洗工程のクリーンルーム化、水洗後の選別(固形物の除去)を施した。続いて、表1に示す条件で、第1の熱処理工程(SO2ガスと大気との混合雰囲気)を行い、これら粉末を仮成形した後にTaカプセルに封入してHIP工程を行い、さらに第2の熱処理工程(SO2ガスと大気との混合雰囲気)を施し、焼結体を作製した。なお、水洗工程では純水で洗浄した。

- 希土類酸硫化物の結晶領域を有する体積1mm3以下の焼結体を具備し、
前記結晶領域と異なる組成を有する多結晶体の個数は、前記焼結体の断面の100μm×100μmの単位面積あたり200個以下である、シンチレータ。 - 走査型電子顕微鏡による前記断面の観察像において、前記多結晶体を含む領域のコントラストは前記結晶領域と異なり、前記多結晶体を含む領域の色は前記結晶領域よりも濃く且つ暗く、

前記第1のシンチレータと第2のシンチレータとの間に設けられた反射層と、を具備し、
前記第1および第2のシンチレータのそれぞれは、請求項1に記載のシンチレータからなる、シンチレータアレイ。 - 前記反射層は、酸化チタンまたは酸化アルミニウムを含む、請求項11に記載のシンチレータアレイ。
- 前記反射層における前記第1のシンチレータと前記第2のシンチレータとの間の幅は100μm以下である、請求項11に記載のシンチレータアレイ。
- 請求項11に記載のシンチレータアレイを具備する、放射線検出器。
