Abstract
Description
図9は、図3のセンタバッグ114の第1変形例を例示した図である。図9(a)に例示するセンタバッグ200は、膨張展開前の状態を車両前後および車幅方向に延びる平面で切断し、上方から見ている。センタバッグ200は、車幅方向の側面を構成する基布の大きさが互いに異なっている点で、図3(a)のセンタバッグ114と構成が異なっている。なお、以降の本明細書中において、既に説明した構成要素と同一のものについては、同一の符号を付すことでその説明を省略する。
Claims (13)
- 車両の乗員を拘束するエアバッグ装置であって、
当該エアバッグ装置は、
袋状であって、座席の車両前方で膨張展開するメインバッグと、
袋状であって前記メインバッグの車幅方向内側で膨張展開するセンタバッグと、
を備え、
前記センタバッグは、前記メインバッグよりも車両後方へ延長した後方領域を有し、
前記後方領域には、車幅方向の前記メインバッグ側に突出した曲面部が形成されていることを特徴とするエアバッグ装置。 - 前記曲面部は、車両後方から見て前記メインバッグに重なっていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のエアバッグ装置。
- 前記曲面部のうち車幅方向に最も突出した第1頂点は、前記メインバッグの後端部に接触したときの乗員の頭部のうち車幅方向の前記センタバッグ側に最も突出した第2頂点よりも車両後方に位置することを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のエアバッグ装置。
- 前記後方領域のうち車幅方向の前記メインバッグ側の側面を構成する第1基布が、車幅方向の反対側の側面を構成する第2基布よりも大きい面積を有することを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載のエアバッグ装置。
- 当該エアバッグ装置はさらに、
帯状であって前記センタバッグの内部の少なくとも2か所にかけ渡され、該センタバッグの所定領域の寸法を制限することで前記後方領域の内圧を高めて該後方領域を車幅方向に膨らませるテザーベルトを備えることを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載のエアバッグ装置。 - 前記テザーベルトは、前記後方領域の内部における上部または後部の少なくとも1か所に接続され、該後方領域の上下方向または車両前後方向の寸法を制限して該後方領域を車幅方向に膨らませることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のエアバッグ装置。
- 当該エアバッグ装置は、前記乗員の頭部を前記メインバッグとセンタバッグとの谷間の車両後方側で拘束することを特徴とする請求項1から6のいずれか1項に記載のエアバッグ装置。
- 前記メインバッグと前記センタバッグは、前記谷間の下方において一体化していることを特徴とする請求項7に記載のエアバッグ装置。
- 当該エアバッグ装置はさらに、帯状であって、前記センタバッグの車両後方側の上部の第1接続部と前記メインバッグの上部の第2接続部とにつながれるテザーベルトを備え、
前記テザーベルトは、前記メインバッグおよび前記センタバッグが膨張展開して前記第1接続部と前記第2接続部が互いに離れる方向へ移動することで緊張する長さを有することを特徴とする請求項1から8のいずれか1項に記載のエアバッグ装置。 - 前記第2接続部は、前記メインバッグの上部の車幅方向内側部分に設けられることを特徴とする請求項9に記載のエアバッグ装置。
- 前記第2接続部は、前記第1接続部よりも車両前方に設けられることを特徴とする請求項9または10に記載のエアバッグ装置。
- 前記メインバッグは、膨張展開によって前記車両のウィンドシールドと該車両のインストルメントパネルの上面部とに接触することを特徴とする請求項1から11のいずれか1項に記載のエアバッグ装置。
- 当該エアバッグ装置はさらに、箱型であって前記メインバッグおよび前記センタバッグを収納して前記車両のインストルメントパネルの上面部の内側に設けられるハウジングを備え、
前記メインバッグおよび前記センタバッグは、前記インストルメントパネルの上面部を開裂して膨張展開することを特徴とする請求項1から12のいずれか1項に記載のエアバッグ装置。
