Abstract
Description
図1〜図4を参照して、本発明によるFRP製駆動シャフト10の構成について説明する。FRP製駆動シャフト10は、FRP円筒20の両端部にアウターカラー30を介して端部ジョイント40を結合してなる。本実施形態では、各2つのアウターカラー30と端部ジョイント40がそれぞれ同一の構成を有しているためこれらに同一の符号を付して説明する。
接着剤貯留テーパー部34の軸方向の長さL1が15mmを上回ると、大径カラー部32とセレーション部42の同軸度が増加しすぎて接着強度が低下してしまう。
接着剤貯留テーパー部34の軸方向の長さL1が5mmを下回ると、接着部の応力分散効果が不足してしまう。
接着剤貯留テーパー部34の先端部とセレーション部42の先端部のオフセット長さL2が15mmを上回ると、セレーション部42に回転トルクが集中しすぎてしまう。
接着剤貯留テーパー部34の先端部とセレーション部42の先端部のオフセット長さL2が5mmを下回ると、アウターカラー30に回転トルクが集中しすぎてしまう。
接着剤貯留テーパー部34の基端部とセレーション部42の先端部のオフセット長さL3が30mmを上回ると、セレーション部42に回転トルクが集中しすぎてしまう。
接着剤貯留テーパー部34の基端部とセレーション部42の先端部のオフセット長さL3が10mmを下回ると、アウターカラー30に回転トルクが集中しすぎてしまう。
接着剤貯留テーパー部34のテーパー率が2/5を上回っても0.5/15を下回っても、接着剤Sに応力が集中しすぎてしまう。
図5(A)、(B)を参照して、以上のように構成されたFRP製駆動シャフト10の製造方法(組立方法)について説明する。

Claims (8)
- FRP円筒の少なくとも一端部にアウターカラーを介して端部ジョイントを結合してなるFRP製駆動シャフトにおいて、
前記端部ジョイントは、その外周面にセレーション部を有していること;
前記アウターカラーは、小径カラー部と、該小径カラー部より大径の大径カラー部とを有していること;
前記セレーション部は、前記FRP円筒の内周面に圧入され、且つ、前記小径カラー部の内周面に固定されていること;
前記大径カラー部の内周面と前記FRP円筒の外周面との間には、両者を固定するための接着剤が充填されていること;及び
前記大径カラー部の内周面と前記FRP円筒の外周面との間には、前記接着剤の充填量を部分的に増大させる接着剤貯留空間部が形成されていること;
を特徴とするFRP製駆動シャフト。 - 請求項1記載のFRP製駆動シャフトにおいて、
前記セレーション部は、前記FRP円筒の内周面と、前記小径カラー部の内周面とに亘って圧入されているFRP製駆動シャフト。 - 請求項1または2記載のFRP製駆動シャフトにおいて、
前記大径カラー部は、その内周面に、前記小径カラー部に近い側に形成され前記FRP円筒の外周面との間の距離が略一定の定径部と、前記小径カラー部から遠くなるに連れて前記FRP円筒の外周面との間の距離を漸増させる接着剤貯留テーパー部とを有しており、
前記接着剤貯留テーパー部と前記FRP円筒の外周面との間に前記接着剤貯留空間部が形成されているFRP製駆動シャフト。 - 請求項3記載のFRP製駆動シャフトにおいて、
前記接着剤貯留テーパー部の軸方向の長さは、5mm〜15mmの範囲内に設定されているFRP製駆動シャフト。 - 請求項3または4記載のFRP製駆動シャフトにおいて、
前記接着剤貯留テーパー部の先端部と前記セレーション部の先端部は、軸方向に5mm〜15mmの範囲内でオフセットされているFRP製駆動シャフト。 - 請求項3ないし5のいずれか1項記載のFRP製駆動シャフトにおいて、
前記接着剤貯留テーパー部の基端部と前記セレーション部の先端部は、軸方向に10mm〜30mmの範囲内でオフセットされているFRP製駆動シャフト。 - 請求項3ないし6のいずれか1項記載のFRP製駆動シャフトにおいて、
前記接着剤貯留テーパー部のテーパー率は、0.5/15〜2/5の範囲内であるFRP製駆動シャフト。 - 請求項1記載のFRP製駆動シャフトにおいて、
前記大径カラー部は、その内周面に、前記小径カラー部に近い側に形成され前記FRP円筒の外周面との間の距離が相対的に小さい小径部と、前記小径カラー部から遠い側に形成され前記FRP円筒の外周面との間の距離が相対的に大きい大径部とを有しており、
前記大径部と前記FRP円筒の外周面との間に前記接着剤貯留空間部が形成されているFRP製駆動シャフト。
