Abstract
Description
上記水酸基含有アクリル樹脂(B)は、水酸基当量が200〜600、1分子中の水酸基数が4.0〜30であることが好ましい。
上記水酸基含有アクリル樹脂(B)は、ガラス転移温度が−20〜60℃であることが好ましい。
水酸基含有アクリル樹脂(B)及びポリカプロラクトンポリオール(C)の配合比は、(B)/(C)=10/90〜90/10であることが好ましい。
本発明は、ポリカーボネート系ジオール化合物(A)、水酸基含有アクリル樹脂(B)及びポリカプロラクトンポリオール(C)を併用することにより、優れた仕上がり外観、耐水性、耐候性、耐汚染性等の塗膜物性と耐擦り傷回復性を両立するものである。すなわち、ポリカーボネート系ジオール化合物(A)、水酸基含有アクリル樹脂(B)を併用した場合に生じる相溶性の悪化という問題は、特定の性質を有するポリカプロラクトンポリオール(C)を併用することによって解消される。
式中、Rの構造は、上記ポリカーボネートジオールの製造に使用されるジオール成分によって決定される。上記ジオール成分としては、炭素数が2〜10、好ましくは4〜8の2価のアルコールを挙げることができる。具体的には、例えば、1,2−プロパンジオール、1,3−プロパンジオール、1,3−ブタンジオール、1,4−ブタンジオール、1,5−ペンタンジオール、1,6−ヘキサンジオール、1,7−ヘプタンジオール、1,8−オクタンジオール、2−エチル−1,6−ヘキサンジオール、2−メチル−1,3−プロパンジオール、3−メチル−1,5−ペンタンジオール、ネオペンチルグリコール等の脂肪族系;1,3−シクロヘキサンジオール、1,4−シクロヘキサンジオール、1,4−シクロヘキサンジメタノール等の脂環式系;p−キシレンジオール、p−テトラクロロキシレンジオール等の芳香族系;ジエチレングリコール、ジプロピレングリコール等のジオールをあげることができる。これらのジオールは、単独で又は2種以上を組合せて使用することができる。上記ポリカーボネートジオールは、上記ジオールをホスゲン等のカルボニル化剤と反応させることによって得ることができる。
また、基材が金属である場合、予めリン酸塩、クロム酸塩等で化成処理されたものが特に好ましい。
上記ベース塗料に含有される着色顔料としては、従来公知の着色顔料、例えば、有機系のアゾレーキ系顔料、不溶性アゾ系顔料、縮合アゾ系顔料、フタロシアニン系顔料、インジゴ顔料、ペリノン系顔料、ペリレン系顔料、ジオキサジン系顔料、キナクリドン系顔料、イソインドリノン系顔料、金属錯体顔料等、無機系の黄鉛、黄色酸化鉄、ベンガラ、カーボンブラック、二酸化チタン等を挙げることができる。更に、アルミニウム粉、グラファイト粉等の扁平顔料を添加してもよい。また、炭酸カルシウム、硫酸バリウム、クレー、タルク等の体質顔料を含有してもよい。更に、必要に応じて、干渉マイカ顔料、アルミニウム顔料等の光輝材を含有させてもよい。
温度調節器、攪拌翼、還流管、窒素導入口を備えた1Lのセパラブルフラスコにキシレン200g、プロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテルアセテート150gを仕込み、温度を130℃に上げて、一定に保った。一方、スチレン80g、2−エチルヘキシルアクリレート52g、2−エチルヘキシルメタクリレート108g、ヒドロキシエチルメタクリレート156g、メタクリル酸4g、アゾビスイソブチロニトリル32gの混合液を滴下ロートに入れて、3時間かけて滴下した。更に1時間反応を継続した後、プロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテルアセテート50g、アゾビスイソブチロニトリル3.2gの混合液を30分かけて滴下し、更に1時間反応を継続した。
温度調節器、攪拌翼、還流管、窒素導入口を備えた1Lのセパラブルフラスコにキシレン200g、酢酸ブチル150gを仕込み、温度を90℃に上げて、一定に保った。一方、スチレン100g、2−エチルヘキシルメタクリレート136g、ヒドロキシエチルメタクリレート160g、メタクリル酸4g、アゾビスイソブチロニトリル16gの混合液を滴下ロートに入れて、3時間かけて滴下した。更に1時間反応を継続した後、酢酸ブチル50g、アゾビスイソブチロニトリル1.6gの混合液を30分かけて滴下し、更に1時間反応を継続した。
温度調節器、攪拌翼、還流管、窒素導入口を備えた1Lのセパラブルフラスコにキシレン200g、プロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテルアセテート150gを仕込み、温度を130℃に上げて、一定に保った。一方、スチレン100g、2−エチルヘキシルアクリレート116g、ヒドロキシエチルメタクリレート180g、メタクリル酸4g、アゾビスイソブチロニトリル30gの混合液を滴下ロートに入れて、3時間かけて滴下した。更に1時間反応を継続した後、プロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテルアセテート50g、アゾビスイソブチロニトリル3.2gの混合液を30分かけて滴下し、更に1時間反応を継続した。
温度調節器、攪拌翼、還流管、窒素導入口を備えた1Lのセパラブルフラスコにキシレン200g、酢酸ブチル150gを仕込み、温度を110℃に上げて、一定に保った。一方、シクロヘキシルメタクリレート240g、2−エチルヘキシルメタクリレート60g、ヒドロキシエチルアクリレート100g、t−ブチルペロキシ−2−エチルヘキサノエート16gの混合液を滴下ロートに入れて、3時間かけて滴下した。更に1時間反応を継続した後、酢酸ブチル50g、t−ブチルペロキシ−2−エチルヘキサノエート1.6gの混合液を30分かけて滴下し、更に1時間反応を継続した。
(1) SP値の算出
SP値は濁点滴定によって測定することができ、具体的には、K.W.SUH、J.M.CORBETTの式(Journal of Applied Polymer Science,12,2359,1968)に記載の下記式によって計算される値である。
濁点滴定では、乾燥させた樹脂組成物(固形分)0.5gをアセトン10mlに溶解した中に、n−ヘキサンを徐々に加え、濁点での滴定量H(ml)を読み、同様にアセトン溶液中に脱イオン水を加えての濁点における滴定量D(ml)を読んで、これらを下記式に適用し、VH、VD、δH、δDを算出する。なお、各溶剤のSP値はアセトン:9.75、n−ヘキサン:7.24、脱イオン水:23.43である。

重合によって得られたアクリルポリオールの溶剤を減圧蒸留して除去した後、示差走査熱量計(DSC)[熱分析装置SSC/5200H(セイコー電子社製)]にて下記の工程により実測した値である。1工程:20℃→100℃(昇温速度10℃/min)
2工程:100℃→−50℃(降温速度10℃/min)
3工程:−50℃→100℃(昇温速度10℃/min)
で測定し3工程の昇温時よりガラス転移点を求めた。
合成時のモノマー配合から計算した。
GPC(ゲルパーミエーションクロマトグラフィー)で測定したポリスチレン換算の数平均分子量
温度調節器、攪拌翼、還流管、窒素導入口を備えた1Lのセパラブルフラスコにトリメチロールプロパン36.8g、ε−カプロラクトン563.2g、ジブチル錫ラウレート0.3gを仕込み、160℃で6時間反応を継続した。得られた樹脂の分岐数は3、水酸基当量は730であった。
表2の原料を用いて合成例5と同様に反応を行った。得られた化合物の分岐数とOH当量を表2に示した。
表3に示した割合で、A−1,B−1,C−1、ビック・ケミージャパン社製BYK310 0.6g、チバスペシャリティケミカルズ社製チヌビン292 1.0g、チバスペシャリティケミカルズ社製チヌビン384−2 2.1g、ジブチル錫ジラウレート 0.01gを混合し、酢酸ブチルを加えて固形分率を30%に調整した。ここに、住化バイエルウレタン社製 スミジュールN3300を、水酸基/イソシアネート基のモル比が1.0/1.2になるように加えてクリヤー塗料組成物を調製した。なお、表中、化合物A−1、化合物B−1、化合物C−1は、それぞれ固形分配合割合を示した。
樹脂溶液を表3,4に示したように置き換えたこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして各クリヤー塗料組成物を調製した。
複層塗膜試験片の作製方法を説明する。温度20±5℃,相対湿度78%以下の塗装環境にて作製した。
各クリヤー塗料組成物100部に対し、酢酸エチル/3−エトキシプロピオン酸エチル=7/3の混合溶剤で#4フォードカップの粘度が15〜20秒になるように希釈しておいた。ポリプロピレン素材(70mm×150mm×3mm:東プラ産業社製JNB−117)に、プライマーとして日本ビー・ケミカル社製「RB−111 CDプライマー」をスプレーガン(アネスト岩田社製「W−101−134G」)を用いて、乾燥膜厚が7μmになるように塗装し、塗装環境下で1分間放置し、次いで、ベース塗料として日本ビー・ケミカル社製「R−303N ブラック」を上記スプレーガンを用いて乾燥塗膜が15μmになるように塗装した後、塗装環境下で1分間放置し、直ちに希釈しておいた上記各クリヤー塗料組成物を用いて、上記スプレーガンで乾燥膜厚がいずれも30μmになるように塗装し、塗装環境下で10分間放置後、乾燥機を用いて120℃の温度雰囲気で20分間乾燥・硬化させて、プラスチック素材の塗装物(複層塗膜試験片)を得た。
密着性評価及び傷回復性評価はいずれも温度20±5℃,相対湿度73±5%の試験環境にて行った。
<耐候性評価方法>
JIS K5600−7−7に準じたキセノンウェザーメーターを用いて、各試験片を775時間暴露後、塗膜状態を目視判定した。
○:水シミ跡の無いもの
△:僅かに水シミ跡が観察されたもの
×:著しい水シミ跡が観察されたもの
試験片の塗面上に、JIS K5600−5−6にて規定される単一刃切り込み工具を垂直にあて、素地にまで達する切込み線を平行に11本引いた。その平行線に垂直に交わる同一間隔の平行線を11本引き、4本の直線に囲まれた正方形100個の碁盤目を作った。平行線の間隔は2mmとした。上記碁盤目部にJIS K5600−5−6にて規定される透明感圧着テープを,塗面との間に気泡を含まないように密着させ、該テープを0.5〜1.0秒で一気に剥がし、碁盤目部の残存膜剥離状態を目視にて評価した。
○:全く剥離が認められない
△:碁盤目状の切り込みに沿って僅かに剥離が観察できる
×:剥離部の面積が碁盤目部の15%を超える
試験片の塗面上に、インダストリーコーワ社製・4行真鍮ブラシを、柄に対して並行に、加重:500g、ストローク速度:30cm/秒、ストローク幅:15cmで5往復して傷を付けた。該傷付き後、試験片を80℃熱水に2秒間浸漬し、塗面上の傷の回復程度を目視にて評価した。
○:傷が全て回復したもの
×:回復していない傷が観察されたもの
また、上記と同様の条件にて傷を付けた試験片を試験環境下に静置し、傷の回復程度を目視にて評価した。
◎:5分以内に傷が全て回復したもの
○:1時間以内に傷が全て回復したもの
△:24時間以内に傷が全て回復したもの
×:24時間後に回復していない傷が観察されたもの
所定の配合で(A)〜(C)を混合した樹脂溶液50gを100mlのガラス瓶に入れ、40℃で30日間保管する。その後、樹脂溶液が透明で合ったものを○、分離や濁りが確認されたものを×とした。なお、当該実験の評価においては、(A)〜(C)の成分のみを表3、4に示した割合で混合した樹脂溶液を調製し、この溶液について相溶性の評価を行った。結果を表3、4に示す。

- ポリカーボネート系ジオール化合物(A)、水酸基含有アクリル樹脂(B)、分岐数3〜5で水酸基当量170〜1600のポリカプロラクトンポリオール(C)及び硬化剤(D)を含むことを特徴とするクリヤー塗料組成物。
- 前記ポリカーボネート系ジオール化合物(A)は、水酸基当量が320〜2000である請求項1記載のクリヤー塗料組成物。
- 水酸基含有アクリル樹脂(B)は、水酸基当量が200〜600、1分子中の水酸基数が4.0〜30である請求項1又は2記載のクリヤー塗料組成物。
