携帯端末等の電子機器に利用されている、リチウムイオン電池等の二次電池では、高容量、高出力化が進められている。しかし、このような二次電池をより急速に充電するために、例えば、10C以上の充電電流を流すことが可能な充電器(電力変換装置)が必要となる。
本実施形態は、上述した電力変換装置110内に相転移物質を封入し、その相転移物質が相転移する時に必要な熱を利用して、熱を一時的に蓄熱することを特徴としている。従って、相転移物質は、急速な放熱が必要な短時間だけ吸熱し、急速な放熱を要さない時間に放熱を行う所謂熱のバッファとして機能する。
続いて、電力変換装置110の製造方法を説明する。
Claims (7)
- 商用電源から受電した電力を他の異なる電力に変換する電力変換モジュールと、
前記電力変換モジュールを収容する充填材容器と、
絶縁性を有し、前記電力変換モジュールを直接包容しつつ前記充填材容器に充填される充填材と、
を備え、
前記充填材の融点は、前記電力変換モジュールが電力変換によって達する温度以下であることを特徴とする、電力変換装置。 - 前記充填材の温度を検出する温度検出器と、
前記温度検出器で検出された温度が前記充填材の融点以上かつ沸点以下の第1所定温度を超えたとき前記電力変換モジュールからの電力の出力を抑制する制御部と、
をさらに備えることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電力変換装置。 - 前記制御部は、電力の出力が抑制された状態で、前記温度検出器で検出された温度が前記充填材の融点以下の第2所定温度以下になると電力の出力を再開することを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の電力変換装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記温度検出器で検出された温度が前記第1所定温度を超えたときにおける、前記他の異なる電力の供給先である二次電池の電圧値に応じて前記第2所定温度を異ならせることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の電力変換装置。
- 前記電力変換モジュールは、該電力変換モジュール主要面において各回路と当接する前記充填材の容積を確保するためのフレームが固設されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電力変換装置。
- 前記他の異なる電力は、二次電池の充電電力であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電力変換装置。
- 充填材容器を生成する工程と、
商用電源から受電した電力を他の異なる電力に変換する電力変換モジュールを前記充填材容器に収容する工程と、
前記電力変換モジュールが収容された充填材容器に絶縁性を有する充填材を充填する工程と、
前記充填材容器を封止する工程と、
を含むことを特徴とする、電力変換装置の製造方法。
