Abstract
Description
R1(%)=((C1−C0)/C1)×100
被覆前の補強用繊維の乾燥質量:C0、被覆後のゴム補強用コードの乾燥質量:C1
ガラス繊維(Eガラス組成、平均径9μmのフィラメントを200本集束)を3本引き揃えて、101テックスの補強用繊維を得た。この補強用繊維を下記の表1、2に示す組成の実施例1〜16の第1の処理剤に浸漬し、その後150℃に設定した乾燥炉内で1分間乾燥させて、第1の被膜を形成した。この第1の被膜が形成されたガラス繊維を、8回/10cmの割合で下燃りし、この下撚りしたものをさらに11本引き揃えて8回/10cmの割合で上撚りを掛けて、実施例1〜16のゴム補強用コードを作製した。実施例1〜16のゴム補強用コードにおける第1の被膜の付着率は、全て20質量%であった。
表1、2に示す第1の処理剤に変えて、レゾルシン−ホルムアルデヒド縮合物とゴムラテックスを含有する第2の処理剤(ここでは、レゾルシン−ホルムアルデヒド縮合物、スチレン−ブタジエン−ビニルピリジンラテックスおよびカルボキシル変性スチレン−ブタジエンゴムラテックスが、質量比で、レゾルシン−ホルムアルデヒド縮合物:スチレン−ブタジエン−ビニルピリジンラテックス:カルボキシル変性スチレン−ブタジエンゴムラテックス=9:70:30を満たすように混合されたもの)を用いたこと以外は、実施例1〜16と同じ条件にて一旦コードを作製し、このコードの表面にさらに実施例1〜16の第1の処理剤をそれぞれ塗布し、その後150℃に設定した乾燥炉内で1分間乾燥させて第1の被膜を形成して、実施例1〜16で用いた第1の処理剤にそれぞれ対応した実施例17〜32のゴム補強用コードを作製した。すなわち、実施例17〜32のゴム補強用コードは、補強用繊維の表面に下地被膜として第2の被膜を形成し、この第2の被膜上に第1の処理剤を用いて第1の被膜を形成することによって作製されたものである。表3、4に実施例17〜32の第1の処理剤の組成が示されている。実施例17〜32のゴム補強用コードにおける第1の被膜の付着率は、全て4質量%であった。
シート状に編んだナイロン繊維に、実施例7、9に示す第1の処理剤を塗布し、120℃で1分間乾燥させて、実施例33、34のゴム補強用シートを作製した。表5に実施例33、34の第1の処理剤の組成が示されている。実施例33、34のゴム補強用シートにおける第1の被膜の付着率は10質量%であった。
シート状に編んだナイロン繊維に、実施例7、9に示す第1の処理剤に変えて、レゾルシン−ホルムアルデヒド縮合物とゴムラテックスを含有する第2の処理剤(ここでは、レゾルシン−ホルムアルデヒド縮合物、スチレン−ブタジエン−ビニルピリジンラテックスおよびカルボキシル変性スチレン−ブタジエンゴムラテックスが、質量比で、レゾルシン−ホルムアルデヒド縮合物:スチレン−ブタジエン−ビニルピリジンラテックス:カルボキシル変性スチレン−ブタジエンゴムラテックス=9:70:30を満たすように混合されたもの)を用いた以外は、実施例33、34と同じ条件で一旦シート状物を作製した。このシート状物に、表5に示す実施例35、36の第1の処理剤を塗布して1分間乾燥させて、実施例35、36のゴム補強用シートを作製した。すなわち、実施例35、36のゴム補強用シートは、補強用繊維シートの表面に下地被膜として第2の被膜を形成し、この第2の被膜上に第1の処理剤を用いて第1の被膜を形成することによって作製されたものである。実施例35、36のゴム補強用シートにおける第1の被膜の付着率は4質量%であった。
表1、2に示す組成の第1の処理剤に代えて、表6、7に示す組成の第1の処理剤を用いたこと以外は、実施例1〜16と同じ条件で比較例1〜11のゴム補強用コードを作製した。比較例1〜11のゴム補強用コードにおける第1の被膜の付着率は、全て20質量%であった。
シート状に編んだナイロン繊維に、比較例4、9に示す第1の処理剤を塗布し、120℃で1分間乾燥させて、比較例12、13のゴム補強用シートを作製した。表8に比較例12、13の第1の処理剤の組成が示されている。比較例12、13のゴム補強用シートにおける第1の被膜の付着率は10質量%であった。
Claims (12)
- ゴム製品を補強するためのゴム補強用部材であって、
補強用繊維または補強用繊維シートと、前記補強用繊維または前記補強用繊維シートの表面に設けられた第1の被膜とを含み、
前記第1の被膜は、水性の第1の処理剤を前記補強用繊維または前記補強用繊維シートに塗布して乾燥させることによって形成されており、
前記第1の処理剤は、ポリビニルアルコールおよび架橋剤を必須成分として含有し、かつ、レゾルシン−ホルムアルデヒド縮合物を任意成分として含有しており、
前記第1の処理剤における前記レゾルシン−ホルムアルデヒド縮合物の含有量は、固形分質量比で、前記ポリビニルアルコール10質量部に対して0〜40質量部である、ゴム補強用部材。 - 前記第1の処理剤における前記レゾルシン−ホルムアルデヒド縮合物の含有量は、固形分質量比で、前記ポリビニルアルコール10質量部に対して0〜2質量部である、請求項1に記載のゴム補強用部材。
- 前記第1の処理剤が、前記レゾルシン−ホルムアルデヒド縮合物を含まない、請求項2に記載のゴム補強用部材。
- 前記架橋剤が、マレイミド系架橋剤およびキノンジオキシム系架橋剤から選ばれる少なくとも1種である、請求項1に記載のゴム補強用部材。
- 前記第1の処理剤が、ゴムラテックスをさらに含む、請求項1に記載のゴム補強用部材。
- 前記第1の処理剤が、亜鉛化合物からなる架橋促進剤をさらに含む、請求項1に記載のゴム補強用部材。
- 前記第1の処理剤が亜鉛化合物からなる架橋促進剤を任意成分として含有しており、
前記第1の処理剤における前記ポリビニルアルコール、前記架橋剤および前記架橋促進剤の質量比が、
ポリビニルアルコール:架橋剤:架橋促進剤=10:30〜80:0〜25
を満たす、請求項1に記載のゴム補強用コード。 - 前記第1の処理剤が、カーボンブラックをさらに含む、請求項1に記載のゴム補強用部材。
- 前記第1の処理剤が、シリカ微粒子をさらに含む、請求項1に記載のゴム補強用部材。
- 前記補強用繊維または前記補強用繊維シートの表面に、ゴムラテックスを含有する第2の処理剤を塗布して乾燥させることによって形成された第2の被膜をさらに含み、
前記第1の被膜は、前記第2の被膜上に設けられている、請求項1に記載のゴム補強用部材。 - 前記第2の処理剤が、レゾルシン−ホルムアルデヒド縮合物をさらに含有する、請求項10に記載のゴム補強用部材。
- 請求項1に記載のゴム補強用部材を用いてなるゴム製品。
