Abstract
Description
1.カチオン性高分子凝集剤
本発明で使用するカチオン性高分子凝集剤(以下、単に「高分子凝集剤」という)は、全構成単量体単位中にアクリロイル基を有するカチオン性単量体を65モル%以上有する重合体(以下、単に「重合体」という)を含むものである。当該重合体としては、さらにアクリロイル基を有するカチオン性単量体を80〜100モル%有するものが好ましい。かかる範囲であれば、対浮遊物質(SS)比率が15重量%以下の粗浮遊物分(CF)を含む下水汚泥(下水処理により生じる初沈汚泥、余剰汚泥、又は初沈汚泥と余剰汚泥の混合汚泥)の脱水処理において、優れた凝集性及び脱水性を発揮する。
2.下水汚泥の脱水方法
本発明は、所定の下水汚泥に、ポリアミジンを使用することなく、上記所定の高分子凝集剤を添加した後、脱水することを特徴とする汚泥の脱水方法に関するものである。

ジメチルアミノエチルアクリレート塩化メチル付加物(以下、「DAC」という)の79wt%水溶液、アクリルアミド(以下、「AM」という)の40wt%水溶液およびイオン交換水を用い、単量体濃度がそれぞれ95mol%、5mol%となり、かつ単量体の濃度が50wt%、全量が450mlになるように混合した。
[製造例B〜E]
製造例AにおけるDAC及びAMの割合を以下に変更し、製造例Aの方法にならって重合を行った。
・製造例B:DAC;85モル%、AM;15モル%
・製造例C:DAC;70モル%、AM;30モル%
・製造例D:DAC;60モル%、AM;40モル%
・製造例E:DAC;45モル%、AM;55モル%
得られた重合体を、製造例Aと同様の方法に従い裁断、乾燥及び粉砕を行い、粉末状高分子凝集剤を得た。
[製造例F]
ジメチルアミノエチルメタクリレート塩化メチル付加物の79wt%水溶液およびイオン交換水を用い、単量体濃度が74wt%、全量が450mlになるように混合した。これを窒素気流で30分以上脱気しつつ15℃に調整した。
表2に示す混合汚泥1又は2の200mlを300mlのビーカーに採取し、表1に示した高分子凝集剤A〜F(0.2%水溶液)を添加後、ジャーテスターを用いて200rpmで60秒間撹拌しフロックを形成させた。フロック径を測定後、80メッシュのろ布をフィルターとして用いて前記フロック液を重力ろ過した。そのろ過速度を測定し、得られたろ液の概観を次の4段階で評価した。
○:清澄
△:微濁
×:懸濁
又、得られたケーキをベルトプレス機で圧搾脱水し、その含水率を測定した。それらの結果を表3に示す。
[実施例4〜6、比較例4〜5]
表2に示す混合汚泥1又は2の200mlを300mlビーカーに採取し、表1に示した高分子凝集剤A〜D及びF(0.2%水溶液)を添加後、高速攪拌機を用いて1000rpmで60秒間撹拌しフロックを形成させた。フロック径を測定後、80メッシュのろ布をフィルターとして用いて前記フロック液を重力ろ過した。そのろ過速度を測定し、得られたろ液の概観を前記と同様の4段階で評価した。
Claims (6)
- 下水汚泥の脱水方法であって、該下水汚泥が下水処理により生じる初沈汚泥、余剰汚泥、又は初沈汚泥と余剰汚泥の混合汚泥であり、かつ浮遊物質(SS)に対する粗浮遊物(CF)の比率が15質量%以下の汚泥であり、該下水汚泥に、ポリアミジンを使用することなく、全構成単量体単位中にアクリロイル基を有するカチオン性単量体を65モル%以上有する重合体を含むカチオン性高分子凝集剤を添加した後、脱水することを特徴とする汚泥の脱水方法。
- 前記汚泥が余剰汚泥と初沈汚泥の混合汚泥である請求項1に記載の下水汚泥の脱水方法。
- 前記汚泥中の強熱減量(VTS)が70%TS(TSは蒸発残留物)以上である請求項1又は請求項2に記載の下水汚泥の脱水方法。
- 前記下水汚泥のカチオン要求量を測定し、この結果に応じて前記カチオン性高分子凝集剤を添加する請求項1〜請求項3のいずれかに記載の下水汚泥の脱水方法。
- 前記カチオン性高分子凝集剤を、下水汚泥中の蒸発残留物(TS)に対して0.05〜5質量%添加する請求項4に記載の下水汚泥の脱水方法。
- 前記カチオン性高分子凝集剤が、(1)[1]カチオン性単量体としてジアルキルアミノアルキルアクリレートの3級塩又は4級塩、及びノニオン性単量体としてアクリルアミドからなる共重合体、及び[2]カチオン性単量体としてジアルキルアミノアルキルアクリレートの3級塩又は4級塩とジアルキルアミノアルキルメタクリレートの3級塩又は4級塩、及びノニオン性単量体としてアクリルアミドからなる共重合体、からなる群より選ばれるカチオン性重合体、或いは、(2)[1]カチオン性単量体としてジアルキルアミノアルキルアクリレートの3級塩又は4級塩、アニオン性単量体としてアクリル酸塩、及びノニオン性単量体としてアクリルアミドからなる共重合体、及び[2]カチオン性単量体としてジアルキルアミノアルキルアクリレートの3級塩又は4級塩とジアルキルアミノアルキルメタクリレートの3級塩又は4級塩、アニオン性単量体としてアクリル酸塩、及びノニオン性単量体としてアクリルアミドからなる共重合体、からなる群より選ばれる両性重合体である請求項1〜請求項5のいずれかに記載の下水汚泥の脱水方法。
