Abstract
Description
LED素子を先端面に保持する素子保持体と、前記光学ユニットのLED素子に対する相対位置を光軸方向に沿って調整するための位置調整機構とをさらに備えてなり、その位置調整機構が、前記光学ユニットを、その基端凹部に前記素子保持体の一部又は全部が収容される接近位置と、素子保持体の略全てが基端凹部から出て当該素子保持体の先端面と光学ユニットの基端面とが略同じ高さとなる離間位置との間でLED素子に対し相対的に移動させるものであることを特徴とする。

本実施形態に係る光照射装置は、図1、図2に示すように、光源であるLED素子11を有したLEDパッケージ1と、前記LED素子11から射出される光を受光して、先端面21から射出する光学ユニット2と、これらLEDパッケージ1及び光学ユニット2を収容保持する図示しないケーシングとを備えたものである。
なお、光学ユニット2を固定し、LED素子11を移動させるようにしてもよい。

Claims (17)
- LED素子と、そのLED素子からの光を内部を通過させて先端面から射出する光透過性を有した光学ユニットと、前記LED素子を先端面に配設した素子保持体とを備え、前記光学ユニットが、LED素子から射出される光の光軸を中心とする回転体形状をなし、その基端面の中央部分に前記LED素子を収容する基端凹部を開口させるとともに、その側面にLED素子からの光を略全反射する反射面を形成したものであって、
前記LED素子と光学ユニットとの相対位置を光軸方向に沿って調整するための位置調整機構とをさらに備えてなり、
その位置調整機構が、前記光学ユニットを、その基端凹部に前記素子保持体の一部又は全部が収容される接近位置と、素子保持体の略全てが基端凹部から出て当該素子保持体の先端面と光学ユニットの基端面とが略同じ高さとなる離間位置との間でLED素子に対し相対的に移動させるものであることを特徴とする光照射装置。 - 位置調整機構が、前記素子保持体と基端凹部とを前記光軸と垂直な方向に略がたなく嵌合させ、かつ光軸方向にスライド可能に構成したものである請求項1記載の光照射装置。
- 前記LED素子が200mA以上の電流を連続して流すことのできる超高輝度タイプのものである請求項1乃至2いずれかに記載の光照射装置。
- 前記光学ユニットが、中央部に中央屈折部を有してなり、LED素子から出る光のうち、前記反射面で全反射する略全ての光を前記中央屈折部を通過させることなく射出するとともに、それ以外の略全ての光を中央屈折部を通過させて射出するように構成している請求項1記載の光照射装置。
- 前記光学ユニットが、その先端面中央部に中央凸レンズ部を形成するとともに、その中央凸レンズ部の周囲先端面に異なった曲率のリング状凸レンズ部を形成し、側面には反射面である湾曲膨出面を形成してなるものであり、少なくとも前記接近位置において、前記LED素子から射出された光のうち、前記基端凹部の側面を通過する略全ての光を、前記湾曲膨出面で全反射させて前記リング状凸レンズ部を介し互いに相寄る向きの光として外部に射出する一方、前記凹部の底面を通過する略全ての光を、前記中央凸レンズ部を介し互いに相寄る向きの光として外部に射出するように構成している請求項1記載の光照射装置。
- 前記基端凹部の底面に凸レンズ部を形成している請求項5記載の光照射装置。
- 前記光学ユニットが、その先端面中央部に先端凹部を開口させるとともに、その先端凹部の周囲先端面にリング状凹レンズ部を形成し、側面には反射面である湾曲膨出面を形成してなるものであり、前記LED素子から射出された光のうち、前記先端凹部を通過する光の略全てを、前記凹レンズ部を通過させることなく外側に拡がる光として外部に放射する一方、前記先端凹部を通過しない光の略全てを、前記湾曲膨出面で全反射し、前記凹レンズ部を通過させて外側に拡がる光として外部に射出するように構成している請求項1記載の光照射装置。
- 前記先端凹部の底面に中央凸レンズ部を形成している請求項7記載の光照射装置。
- LED素子と、前記LED素子から射出される光の光軸を中心とする末広がりの回転体形状をなし、当該LED素子からの光を内部を通過させて先端面から射出する光透過性を有した中実の光学ユニットと、その光学ユニットのさらに先端側に配置した凹レンズとを備え、前記光学ユニットが、その側面にLED素子からの光を略全反射する反射面を形成したものであって、前記凹レンズと光学ユニットとの光軸方向に沿った離間距離を変更可能に設定するための位置調整機構をさらに備えていることを特徴とする光照射装置。
- 前記光学ユニットが、
その基端面の中央部分には、前記LED素子を収容する基端凹部を開口させ、
その先端面には、その中央部に中央凸レンズ部を形成するとともに周囲に前記中央凸レンズ部とは異なった曲率のリング状凸レンズ部を形成し、
その側面には、LED素子からの光を略全反射する反射面である湾曲膨出面を形成し、
前記LED素子から射出された光のうち、前記基端凹部の側面を通過する略全ての光を、前記湾曲膨出面で全反射させて前記リング状凸レンズ部を介し互いに相寄る向きの光として外部に射出する一方、前記凹部の底面を通過する略全ての光を、前記中央凸レンズ部を介し互いに相寄る向きの光として外部に射出するように構成したものである請求項9記載の光照射装置。 - 複数のLEDと、それらLEDにそれぞれ対応する複数の光学ユニットと、それら光学ユニットに対応する複数の凹レンズとを備え、前記位置調整機構が各凹レンズと各光学ユニットとの離間距離を一律に変更するものである請求項9記載の光照射装置。
- 前記位置調整機構が、光学ユニットから射出される光の径が最小となる位置又はその近傍である離間位置と、その離間位置よりもさらに光学ユニット側に設定した接近位置との間で、凹レンズを光学ユニットに対して相対的に移動させるものである請求項9記載の光照射装置。
- 前記凹レンズの中央に貫通孔を設け、前記離間位置において、光学ユニットから出た光の略全てが、当該貫通孔を通過するように設定している請求項12記載の光照射装置。
- 前記凹レンズの中央に貫通孔を設け、少なくとも前記中央凸レンズ部から出た光の略全てが、当該貫通孔を通過するように設定している請求項10記載の光照射装置。
- 前記凹レンズの中央に等厚部を設け、前記離間位置において、光学ユニットから出た光の略全てが、当該等厚部を通過するように設定している請求項12記載
- 前記凹レンズの中央に等厚部を設け、少なくとも前記中央凸レンズ部から出た光の略全てが、当該等厚部を通過するように設定している請求項10記載の光照射装置。
- 発光色の異なる複数のLED素子を有している請求項1又は9記載の光照射装置。
