Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide long superconductive wire of ceramic type easily by inserting mixture of 20-50% powder of LnBa2Cu3Ox and power of Ag as the reset into a metal tubing, and area reducing to turn into a wire. CONSTITUTION:20-50wt.% Ln Ba2Cu3Ox powder (Ln represents Y, Lu, Yb, Tm, Er, Ho, Dy, Se, while x oxidation number decided by manufacturing conditions) is mixed with powder of Ag as the rest. The obtained mixture, or a compressed molding thereof, is inserted in a metal tubing followed by area reduction process to turn it into a wire. The processibility is enhanced greatly by suppressing the LnBa2Cu3Ox powder below 50%, and thereby sufficient stretching can be made. Also, necessary superconductivity can be obtained by keeping the power content above 20%.
