Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce an oxide superconductor having excellent workability and having high critical temp. by oxidizing the alloy composing of Ag and specific elements forming a oxide superconductor by oxidization in an oxygen atm. and depositing the oxide superconductor into Ag. CONSTITUTION:The Ag based alloy consisting of <=50%, more preferably 3-30% elements such as La, Y, Ba, Sr and Cu which form the superconductive material by forming the oxides and the balance consisting of Ag is refined. Said alloy is worked into the desired shape such as foil and wire rod and is thereafter heated at 400-930 deg.C, more preferably at 500-900 deg.C in an oxygen contg. atm. such as an air to convert the elements except Ag into the oxides, by which the oxide superconductor is deposited into Ag, and the superconductive material having reratively high critical temp. is produced.
