Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent defoliation of the interface by molding a molten metal at the periphery of a pressed powder molding of unsintered ceramic superconductor, cooling and solidifying the molten metal after the ceramic superconductor is sintered, and thereby strengthening the bond of the ceramic superconductor with metal layer. CONSTITUTION:Y2O3, BaCO3, CuO are used as starting material, and ceramic conductor powder is obtained through wet mixing and provisional bake crushing. 5wt.% ethylecellulose, 15wt.% toluene, and 5wt.% alpha-tarpineol are added to an alloy powder of (i) Au-20wt.% Cu, (ii) Ag-30wt.% Cu, (iii) Ag-20wt.%, and (iv) Ag, and the admixture is kneaded to turn into metal paste. 5wt.% methylcellulose, 10wt.% water, and 5wt.% glyceline are added to ceramic superconductor powder, and the admixture is kneaded and extruded from a hole of 3mm in dia. to form a rod. The molding is burnt out in an amount of binder at 450 deg.C in the air, and the metal paste is coated on the periphery of the molding, followed by baking in the air for 2hr. at 900 deg.C. Thus ceramic superconductor is obtained.
