Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a superconductor with excellent superconductive characteristics by setting the thickness from the surface to the center of the product shape of a composite sintered body containing Ba, Er, and Cu to 1mm or less, preferably 0.5mm or less. CONSTITUTION:A powder mixture mixed with oxides or carbonates of Ba, Er, Cu is repeatedly applied with the preliminary baking-crushing. molding process three times or more to produce the baked body powder of the homogeneous composite oxide expressed by Ba1-x ExCurOz (where 0.1<=x<=0.9, 0.4<=y<=1.0, z<=5). Polyvinyl butyral using a solvent mainly made of toluene is used as a binder, dibutyl phthalate is used as a plasticizer, the powder is molded into a sheet or a wire rod with the preset shape, and the solvent, plasticizer, and binder are completely removed at 400-700 deg.C. The preliminary baking at 700-940 deg.C and the sintering at 850-950 deg.C are subsequently applied. A superconductive material obtained according to this constitution has high critical temperature and high critical current density, and its characteristics are stable for a long time.
