Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture long electric wire, cable, and coil by fluidifing a superconductive material of ceramic type, extruding it from a nozzle with small dia., shaping into desired form, and performing sintering. CONSTITUTION:A superconductive material of ceramic type 10 is fluidified and extruded from a nozzle 2 with small dia. to shape it into a desired form 14, that undergoes then sintering. This ensures more uniform composition than in the case of pulverized substance, and wire can be made with small dia. and be supplied in long continuous form. Shaping in the condition with flexibility after extrusion permits molding easily into the desired form such as a coil. Further, local heating and fusion upon band melting after sintering process will promote making it uniform and dense.
