Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide stable electrical characteristics over the whole length by melting raw material for the material for ceramic superconductor in a vessel with a hole, and extruding or drawing out the molten material through the hole. CONSTITUTION:In a furnace 2, raw material powder to the material for ceramic superconductor is put into semi-molten state by a heat source 3, extruded from an extrusion hole, and wound on a takeup roll 5 through a guide roll 4, to provide a thin wire 6 of 100mum in dia. This superconductive material is in a composition AaBbCc, where A is at least one of the elements belonging to the Ia, IIa, IIIa groups on the Periodic Table, B is at least one of the elements belonging to the Ib, IIb, IIIb groups, and C is at least one of O, C, N, F, and S. The suffixes a-c of the expression are numbers to represent composing proportion of A, B, C. A viscous molten body is obtained by adding at least one glass forming compound among B2O3, GeO2, P2O5 into the vessel 2 in the process of obtaining molten body.
