Abstract
PURPOSE:To allow the heat pressure sealing without causing the generation irregularity and prevent the defective adhesion by decreasing the guide size of plate-shaped leads, providing soldered portions outside resin outer films, and closely sticking and sealing thermal contraction resin tubes astride a projection formed in the guide direction of the plate-shaped leads of the resin outer films and the insulating cover layers of insulating cover lead wires. CONSTITUTION:Plate-shaped leads 8, 9 are guided from resin outer films 1, 2, and projections 1a, 2a are formed along the guide direction of the plate-shaped leads 8, 9 on the resin outer films 1, 2. After copper wires 12, 13 of insulating cover lead wires 10, 11 are connected and fixed to the plate-shaped leads 8, 9 with the solder 14, 15, thermal contraction resin tubes 18, 19 are closely stuck and sealed by the thermal contraction astride the projections 1a, 2a of the resin outer films 1, 2 and insulating cover layers 16, 17 of the insulating cover lead wires 10, 11. A small-sized heat pressure roller can be thereby used, the whole EL element 3 can be uniformly pressed and sealed, thus no bubble is generated by the defective adhesion, and no luminous irregularity occurs.
