PURPOSE:To stabilize accuracy of molten metal supplying quantity and quality of a casting by dipping a stoke into the molten metal in a crucible and arranging molten metal detecting sensor at height position of the setting molten metal surface in the stoke. CONSTITUTION:The crucible 2 is put in the inner part of an electric furnace 1 and also at upper part of the furnace body, the stoke 3 for supplying the molten metal and the stoke 4 for sensor are hung in the crucible. The stoke 3 is communicated to an injection sleeve 8 through a molten metal supplying tube 7 and in the stoke 4, the molten metal detecting sensor 11 is hung from a frame 12 at upper part thereof. At the time of supplying the molten metal into the injection sleeve 8 from the stoke 3 through pressurized air, etc., the molten metal is reached to the sensor 11 set at the prescribed height position, and the injection is executed with a plunger tip 9 through outputted signal of the sensor 11. By this method, as the molten metal supply is executed regardless of the molten metal height in the crucible 2, the accuracy of the molten metal supplying quantity and the quality of the casting are improved.
