Abstract
PURPOSE:To cast molten metal into a mold at a preset casting speed by controlling the pressurizing mechanism for a pan in conformity with the pressurizing conditions stored in a microcomputer through an interface while detecting the pressure in the pan. CONSTITUTION:In a low pressure casting device of casting molten metal 5 into mold (not shown) cavities through a stalk 10 by pressurizing the inside of a pan 4, the pressurizing conditions in the pan 4 stored in a microcomputer 20 are inputted to an interface 19. A servomotor 17 is driven by a driving circuit 18 in accordance with the command of the interface 19, and further the piston 12a of a cylinder 12 is operated by a speed reducer 16, whereby pressure air is supplied through a pressure air pipe 6 into the pan 4. The pressure in the pan 4 is detected by a pressure sensor 21, and is fed back to the interface 19, where it is compared and operated with the pressure instructed by the microcomputer. In accordance with the results thereof, the piston 12a is operated, whereby the pressure in the pan 4 is controlled.
