Abstract

PURPOSE: To accurately control nozzle opening to the set opening by substituting the sliding-nozzle-actuating servo valve provided to the bottom of a ladle with a selective valve of less troubles and making the actuator of a hydraulic cylinder one.
CONSTITUTION: The oil in an oil tank 25 is fed by a pump 20 to a flow control valve 19 with pressure compensation and a solenoid valve 18. The both of these control integrally the flow rate of the oil to be supplied from the pump 20 to a cylinder 14, thereby driving a piston 15 at a low or high speed. The piston 15 performs opening and closing of the nozzle by the slide piece 12 of the sliding nozzle in the lower part of a ladle 11 by means of its rod 13. At this time, the position of the piston 15 in the cylinder 14 is detected by the sliding resistance 16 mounted the rod 13. This detected resistance value is converted to a voltage signal by a resistance voltage converter 21 and this signal is fed to a 3-position controller 23 and 2-position regulator 24. On the other hand, the position set voltage signal of the slide 12 is fed by a nozzle opening setter 22W23, 24 which then move the piston 15 at a high speed when the difference between the detected value and set value is large, thereby improving the stopping accuracy to the set position.
