Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 く本発明の産業上の利用分野〉 本発明は、樹脂平面に押し付けて回転して、摩擦熱によ
って樹脂平面に溶着するための、樹脂製回転溶着部材に
関する。
〈従来技術〉(第7.8図) 樹脂平面に回転溶ifするための従来の樹脂製回転溶着
部材、例えばスタッド1や留め具2は、第7図、第8図
の如く柱部3の一端に円板状のフランジ部4を突設し、
フランジ部4の溶着部と反対側の周縁部に係合突起5を
突設したl1lI造となっている。
この樹脂製部材を樹脂製の取付基板に取イ・」けるには
第9図に示すように、樹1ff%Iの取付基板6の取付
けるべき位置に、回転治具7でスタッド1又は留め具2
を保持して押し付け、回転治具7の切欠き7aに係合突
起5を係合して高速回転させる。
この時に生じる摩擦熱によってフランジ部4及び取付基
板6の両接触面がWJ融する。回転を停止した後、溶融
部は冷却、硬化し、この結果、スタッド1又は留め具2
は取付基板6に強固に固定される。
く本発明が解決しようとする問題点〉 しかしながら、上記の構造のスタッド1又は留め具2で
は、この回転溶着の際に生じるPJ擦熱によって、フラ
ンジ部4と取付基板6の接触面が溶融するばかりでなく
、取付基板6が充分に厚くないと、このl?隙熱の過剰
分によって取付基板6の裏面側までが軟化して、溶着の
ための回転治具7によるスタッド1又は留め具2への押
圧とも相まっで、第10図に示すように取付基板6の裏
面側が外方へ凸状に膨出したり、あるいは、フランジ部
4と取付基板6の相互間の線膨張係数の相違のために、
溶融後に冷えて硬化収縮する際の収縮率の相違によって
、第11図に示すように取付基板6の裏面に湾曲やシワ
が生じる、いわゆる°゛衷ウつリ現染パが生じていた。
このため、取付基板6の裏面が外観品として用いられる
場合には、この“衷つツリ現象”のために外観性を著し
く低下させていた。
く本発明の目的〉 本発明は、このような外観性の低下を10 <“裏つツ
リ現象°”の発生をできる限り少なくするために7ラン
テ部の形状を改造して過剰熱による影響及び線膨張係数
の相違による影響を低減した樹脂製回転溶着部材を提供
することを目的としている。
く本発明の手段〉 上記目的を達成するため、本発明では、84脂製回転溶
看部材のフランジ部の取付面に溝を設けたことを特徴と
している。
〈上記手段による作用〉 このように7ランテ部の取付面に溝を設けたため、回転
溶着時に空気を巻き込むため過剰熱が奪われるため、過
剰熱が取付基板の裏面まで伝わらず、裏面の膨出が少な
くなり、また、フランジ部と取付基板の相互間の線膨張
係数に相違があっても、フランジ部に溝があると、フラ
ンジ部の方が変形しやすくなるため、硬化収縮時に7ラ
ンテ部の方が取付基板に変形追従して、湾曲やシワを生
じることが少なくなる。
く本発明の実施例〉(第1〜6図) 以下、図面に基づいて本発明の詳細な説明する。
第1〜4図はそれぞれ本発明による樹脂製回転溶着部材
(スタッド又は留め具)の実施例を示している。
第1.2図は合成樹脂で一体成形されたスタッドで、円
筒状の柱部10と、その一端に突設された円板状の7ラ
ンテ部11と、7ランテ部11の281面と反対面側の
周縁部に突設された係合突起12とを備え、7ランテ部
11の取付面11aには横断した満1°3a 113b
 、13c 、13dを備えている。
第3.4図は柱部10に係合用の弾性突起14.14を
備えた留め具で、他の部分の構造は第1.2図と同一で
ある。
なお、樹脂製回転溶着部材が配向性の高い樹脂である場
合には、回転溶着時の冷却硬化においてこの配向方向く
第1図、第2図で矢印Aで示す)に平行な方向に収縮す
るので、溝はこの配向方向に平行でない方向に、例えば
13a、13bは配合方向に対してほぼ90°に、13
C,13dは適宜の角度θ1、θ2にされている。
第5図の如く回転治具16で樹脂製回転溶着部材(スタ
ッド又は留め具)を保持し、回転治具16の切欠き16
a、16aに係合突起12.12を係合して合成樹脂製
の取付基板17にフランジ部11を押し付けて高速回転
させると、接触面が摩擦熱で溶融して溶着する。フラン
ジ部11の取付面11aに溝13a〜13dがあるので
、フランジ部11の接触面積が減るから摩擦熱の発生l
が減り、また回転時に溝13a〜13dが空気を巻き込
んで熱が奪われるため、摩擦熱の過剰分が7ランテ部1
1に溜まることがなく、従って取付基板17の裏面側が
従来の如く凸状に膨出する“裏つツリ現象”が士じるこ
とが少なくなる。
また、フランジ部11と取付基板17の相互間のa膨張
係数に相違があっても、フランジ部11の溝13a〜1
3dのために肉薄部15が形成されているため、7ラン
テ部11の方が変形しやすくなり、硬化収縮時に取付基
板17の変形に追従するから、取付基板17の裏面に湾
曲やシワを生じる“裏つツリ現象”の発生が少なくなる
なお、配向性の強い樹脂の場合には、この配向方向に収
縮するが、溝13a〜13dがこの配向方向に平行でな
いので、この薄肉部15が収縮変形しやすくなる。
なお、溶着時にフランジ部11の満13a〜13d内に
、第6図に示すように取付基板17の溶融部分17aが
進入して硬化するため、取付基板17へのフランジ部1
1の固定が一層強固になる。
なお、フランジ部11の溝の形状は第1〜4図のものに
限らず、他の任意の形状にすることができる。
く本発明の効果〉 以上説明したように本発明の樹脂製回転溶着部材は構成
されているので、取付基板の裏面の“裏つツリ現象”の
発生を少なくすることができる。
また、溝内へ取付基板の溶融部分が進入した状態で硬化
するから取付けが一層強固となる。
