Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は双翅類（Diptera）、特にイエバエ
（Musca domestica）に非常に有効な殺虫性組成
物に関する。
特に本発明は双翅類昆虫を撲滅するのに異常な
程有効であるシス―９―トリコセン、メソミル
（methomyl）および適当なキヤリヤー物質を含有
する新規組成物に関する。
当業者にはシス―９―トリコセンがイエバエの
性フエロモンであること（サイエンス、第174巻
第76頁、1971年）、および双翅類昆虫の抑制のた
め殺虫剤と組合せて使用されていること（オース
トラリア特許第477526号）が知られているが、先
行技術の組成物よりも本発明の組成物が非常にす
ぐれた有効性を有することは全く意外なことであ
り、予期されなかつたことである。
本発明の実施に当つて、シス―９―トリコセン
は適当なキヤリヤー物質と共にメソミルと混合し
て本発明の新規な組成物を作り、これを昆虫抑制
のために通常の方法で使用する。本発明の組成物
を作るための一つの好適な方法は、メソミルを溶
媒を用いまたは用いずに、適当なキヤリヤー物質
と混合し、次いで形成された組成物を溶媒を用い
または用いずにシス―９―トリコセンと混合する
ことである。
本発明の新規な殺虫性組成物は、通常の害虫抑
制添加剤、稀釈剤、変性剤またはコンデイシヨナ
ーを含有できる、ここに「適当なキヤリヤー物
質」なる語には、溶液、乳濁液、分散液、粉末、
ダスト、顆粒、ペレツト等の形で組成物を提供す
るための上記各薬剤を含ましめるものとする。従
つて殺虫性組成物は液体または固体であることが
できる。液体組成物は、組成物を水中に容易に分
散しうるようにするためのコンデイシヨナーとし
て１種以上の界面活性剤を含有しうる。界面活性
剤には湿潤剤、分散剤、乳化剤等を含む。粉末、
ダスト、ペレツトまたは顆粒の形の本発明の固体
配合物は、タルク、天然クレー、バイロフイライ
ト、ケイソウ土、クルミ殻、とうもろこしの穂
軸、糖等の如き物質を用いて作りうる。
本発明の組成物中の活性成分の量は、組成物を
適用すべき方法によつて変化する、しかし一般に
は全組成物の約0.25〜95重量％である。通常活性
成分の量は約0.50〜10％である。ここで使用する
ときの活性成分はシス―９―トリコセンおよびメ
ソミルである。シス―９―トリコセン対メソミル
の比は一般に約１：50〜25：１である。シス―９
―トリコセン対メソミルの１：25〜２：１の比の
範囲内でシス―９―トリコセンを含有し、１％の
メトミルを含む糖粒状配合物は、プロポクジユル
（propoxur）商標名バイゴンの如き他の殺虫剤を
含有する同様の粒状配合物の数百％ないし何百％
もの有効度の増大をもたらす。シス―９―トリコ
センの不存在下におけるメソミルとプロポクジユ
ルの糖粒状配合物の比較では、実質的に同じ有効
性を示す。
メソミル（methomyl）は米国特許第3576834号
明細書に記載されているメチルＮ―〔（メチルカ
ルバモイル）―オキシ〕―チオアセトアミドに対
する普通名称である。米国特許第3576834号明細
書に記載されているように、他の殺虫剤をメソミ
ルと混合した形で使用できる。米国特許第
3576834号明細書に教示され、記載されている混
合物はここに参考資料として加える。しかしなが
ら、本発明の範囲内には、他の殺虫剤を組成物中
に存在させたときでも、シス―９―トリコセン対
メソミルの比は前述した比の範囲内にとどめるこ
とが重要である。
以下に実施例を挙げて本発明を説明するが、本
発明をこれらに限定するものではない。部および
％は全て重量である。
実施例 １ 活性成分メソミルまたはプロポクジユルをメチ
レンクロライドに溶解し、比較的均一な粒子の大
きさを有する微粒子ビート糖と均質になるまで混
合して下記配合物を作つた。シス―９―トリコセ
ンを含有する配合物は、シス―９―トリコセンを
メチレンクロライドに溶解し、次いで乾燥して流
動性になるまで糖および活性成物と完全に混合し
て作つた。 配合物 部 (A) プロポクジユル １ 糖 10 (B) メソミル １ 糖 10 (c) プロポクジユル １ 糖 10 シス―９―トリコセン 0.1 (D) メソミル １ 糖 10 シス―９―トリコセン 0.1 配合物Ａ，Ｂ，ＣおよびＤを、分散餌として配
合物を用いて大きな豚舎中で試験した。結果を表
１に示す。本発明の組成物である配合物Ｄのすぐ
れた有効性が証明されている。試験は30分で終了
させた。死んだハエの数を15分と30分で計算し
た。便宜上、平均のハエの計算は比として示し
た。各試験において各配合物は４平方フイートに
ついて0.8ｇを使用した。

なつた。配合物は４平方フイートに0.8ｇを用い
て撤布した。計数は15分および25分後に行ない、
試験を終了させた。
表 ２ 配合物 平均のハエの計算（比） Ａ 2.0 Ｂ 1.0 Ｃ 6.0 Ｄ 14.4 大きな家禽舎の第二の場所で、配合物Ｃおよび
Ｄを、４平方フイートの地面に対して0.8ｇを用
いて試験した。各試験を２回繰返し、計算は30分
後に行なつた。

糖（ざらめ）を用い１％のメソミルおよび0.04％
のシス―９―トリコセンを含有する配合物Ｅを作
つた。配合物Ｂ，ＤおよびＥを養鶏場で撤布試験
でそれぞれ同じ量を用いて試験した。試験は４時
間後に終了させた。
表 ４ 配合物 平均のハエの計算（比） Ｂ 1.0 Ｄ 7.5 Ｅ 4.6 実施例１および２と同様にして、約８メツシユ
以下のケイソウ土、メソミルおよびシス―９―ト
リコセンを用いた配合物を作つた。配合物は、家
畜飼育場、中庭（patios）、鶏舎等の周りに撤布
することによつてイエバエの抑制に有用である。

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 １ シス―９―トリコセン、メソミルおよび適当
    なキヤリヤー物質の混合物を含む殺虫性組成物。 ２ 上記キヤリヤー物質が糖である特許請求の範
    囲第１項記載の組成物。 ３ 上記混合物が組成物の0.25〜95重量％の合計
    量でシス―９―トリコセンおよびメソミルを含有
    する特許請求の範囲第２項記載の組成物。 ４ シス―９―トリコセンと殺虫剤の比が約150
    〜25：１である特許請求の範囲第３項記載の組成
    物。 ５ 上記比が約１：25〜２：１である特許請求の
    範囲第４項記載の組成物。 ６ シス―９―トリコセンおよびメソミルの合計
    量が約0.50〜10％である特許請求の範囲第５項記
    載の組成物。 ７ （Ｚ）―９―トリコセンとメソミルを１：25
    〜１：10の重量比で含む特許請求の範囲第５項記
    載の組成物。 ８ 糖がざらめである特許請求の範囲第６項記載
    の組成物。 ９ シス―９―トリコセン、メソミルおよび適当
    なキヤリヤー物質を含有する混合物を保護すべき
    場所に付与することを特徴とする双翅類昆虫を駆
    除する方法。 １０ キヤリヤー物質がざらめである特許請求の
    範囲第８項記載の方法。
