Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 この発明は、袋や使い捨て容器などで開口部が熱封緘さ
れた密封包装体及びその製造方法に関する。
〔従来の技術〕
例えば、容器本体の開口部を蓋で熱封緘した包装体に対
する要請の一つとして、手で開封容易なことがある。こ
れは、手で簡単に蓋を剥離できるということであり、そ
の為には、一般に剥離強度が1.0〜2.0KF/15
5mに設計されている。
一方;熱水処理や運搬などの取扱い甲に、熱誠が外れる
のは不都合なことであるから、容易に剥離しないことも
要請される。例えば、日本農林規格(JAS)によれば
、レトルト食品の表示を行なう場合には、パウチ状態で
封緘部の試料を15膳巾で切り出して剥離強度を測定し
た場合、2.3 K9以上なければならないとされてい
る。云うまでもなく、これは手で容易に剥離できる限度
を越えている。
〔発明の課題〕
上記の2つの要請にさらに検討を加えると、密封包装体
の流通過程などで熱封緘部に力が加わるのは、内容物に
よってであること、即ち内部から熱封緘部を剥離するよ
うな力が加わり、従って、熱封緘部の内側からの剥離強
度が大きい程、内容物を保護する機能が優れており、ま
た、開封の際には、熱封緘部の外側から剥離力を加える
ので、外側からの剥離強度を弱くすると、開封が容易に
なることが分る。
そこで、この発明の課題は、熱封緘部の内側からの剥離
強度が大きく外側からの剥離強度が小さい密封包装体の
構造を提供することである。
〔課題の解決手段〕
上記の課題解決の為、この発明によれば、包装体の開口
部近辺に設けた熱封緘部に、加圧加熱によって凹条を形
成し、その凹条の断面形状を外側縁から内側縁の方向に
次第に深くなるようにし、かつ外側縁をジグザグの屈曲
線として内側縁をはゾ滑らかな線状としたものである。
さらに、上記のような熱封緘部を形成するため、ヒート
シールを行なう上型又は下型に凸条を形成し、この凸条
の断面形状を、凸条の外側縁から内側縁に次第に高くな
るようにし、かつ内側縁をはゾ滑らかな線状、外側縁を
ジグザグの屈曲線とし、このような熱板でヒートシール
を行なって密封包装体を形成したのである。
〔作用〕
上記のような上型及び下型でヒートシールを行なうと、
凸条の外側縁から内側縁の方向に次第に加圧力が増加す
るので、接着強度が大きくなり、また外側縁を連続的に
屈曲させであるので剥離方向に対して外側縁の接着線が
ジグザグ状になって内側縁よりも外側縁の方向からの剥
離強度が小さくなり、従って開口部の外側からは容易に
開封することができる一方、包装体の内部からは容易に
剥離しない熱封緘部が得られる。
〔実施例〕
まず、包装体を密封する為のヒートシーラ熱板について
説明する。
第1図及び第2図は、四角形の容器本体に蓋をヒートシ
ールするのに用いる熱板を示している。
図示のように、上型10の印圧面11には凸条12が設
けられ、下型20の印圧面21は平坦になっている。図
中、Hはヒータである。
上記凸条12の断面形状は、その外側縁13から内側縁
14の方向に次第に高さが大きくなるようにしである。
なお、第4図(イ)に示すように、外側縁13から次第
に高さが大きくなるが、途中で平坦になってそのま\内
側縁14まで延びるような断面形状であってもよく、ま
た第4図(ロ)に示すように、一度頂点16に達した後
、内側縁14に向って次第に高さが小さくなるような形
状であってもよい。この場合には、頂点16から内側縁
14に向うスロープの方が外側縁13に向うスロープよ
りも急であるのが好ましい。
次に、上記内側縁14は、第2図、第3図のように、屈
曲のないはゾ滑らかな線状(多少の屈曲があってもよい
が)をなし、外側縁13は、ジグザグの屈曲線を形成し
、その長さは、内側縁14よりも30%以上長くなって
いる。
上記外側縁13の屈曲線は、山形状に限らず、第5図(
イ)(ロ)(/→に)に示すように、種々の形状をとる
ことができ、これらの組合せであってもよい。また、第
5図画)に示すように、外側縁13の一部(山と山との
間)が内側縁14と一致していてもよい。
さらに、上記外側縁13は、第2図のように、必ずしも
全周にわたってジグザグに屈曲している必要はなく、開
封部以外の周縁部、例えばコーナ部15(隅角部)は、
鎖線で示すように、滑らかなカーブになっていてもよい
上記ヒートシーラ熱板の全体形状は、図示のものに限ら
ない。包装体が容器であれば、三角形、円形、楕円形な
どの容器形状に対応してそれぞれの形状を採用すべきで
ある。また、包装体が袋であれば、上型下型とも単に直
線状のものでよい。
なお、上述の凸条12は、下型2oに設けてもよい。さ
らに上型又は下型の凸条に対応して、相手型にシリコー
ンゴムの様な弾性体を載置してもよい。
上述のような熱板を用いて、包装体を密封する方法を第
6図及び第8図に示す。
図示のように、容器本体30のフランジ31に、蓋4o
を載せ、下型2oでフランジ31の下面を支持しながら
、上型10の印圧面11で蓋40の上面から加圧加熱し
てヒートシールを行なうと、第7図に示すように、熱封
緘部に上型10の凸条12の形状に応じた凹条41が形
成される。
上記凹条41は、蓋40が容器本体30の材料の復元性
、保形性、ヒートシール条件などによって、同一の熱板
によっても、その形状は必ずしも同一にならないが、ヒ
ートシール置換には、凹条の断面形状が、その外側縁4
2から内側縁43の方向に次第に深くなり、かつ外側縁
42の輪郭が内側縁よ3よりも30%以上高いジグザグ
屈曲線を画いている。また、内側縁43は、容器本体(
資)の開口部32と平面的にみてはゾ相似形で屈曲の少
ない滑らかな線を画いている。
なお、外側縁42が内側縁43の長さよりも30%以上
長くなければ、外側からの剥離、即ち開封容易性が良好
とならない。外側縁42の屈曲が少ないからである。
第8図に示すように、通常の平坦な印圧面11′を有す
る上型10′でヒートシールした°後、同図(01のよ
うに、凸条12を有する上型10でヒートシールしても
よく、或はその順序を逆にしてもよい。
上記容器本体30及び蓋40の材料は、熱融着可能で、
ある程度の柔軟性があれば、種々のものを選択すること
ができる。単体であっても複合材であってもよい。例え
ば、蓋40は、アルミニウム箔のような基材44に接着
剤層45を設けたもの、容器本体30は、合成樹脂の成
形品などである。
密封包装体は、上記のようないわゆる容器に限らず、平
袋、自立袋のような袋、箱などの形態であってもよい。
以下、さらに詳細な実施例と比較例を挙げる。
厚さ500μのポリプロピレンシートを加熱成形して内
容積1800Hの角形容器を作成した。
また、厚さ50μの軟質アルミニウム箔と35μの変性
高密度ポリエチレンフィルムを熱硬化性ウレタン接着剤
で貼り合わせた後、上記容器の開口部に合せた形状に打
ち抜いて蓋を作成した。
上記容器に水を充填し、蓋を載置して、最大高さ2rr
un、巾3rImで外側縁が山形のジグザグ形状をもつ
凸条を設けた上型を有する熱板によってヒートシールを
行なった。条件は、温度200℃、圧力31’f/ci
、時間1秒である。この密封容器をさらに120℃で3
0分、レトルト殺菌した。
比較例として、同様の容器及び蓋を用い、同様の条件で
従来の平坦な熱板を用いてヒートシールを行ない、同様
にレトルト殺菌した。
いずれの場合も、手で容易に蓋を剥離することができた
が、熱封緘部から15履巾の試料を切り出して内側(容
器内部側)からの剥離強度をみると、実施例のものは2
.5〜4. OYl/ 15 re、比較例のものは、
0.9〜1.2に?/15団であった。
〔効果〕
この発明によれば、以上の様に、密封包装体の熱封緘部
に、加熱加圧によって凹条を形成し、その断面形状を外
側縁から内側線に向って次第に深くなるようにし、かつ
内側縁をはゾ滑らかな線状外側縁を屈曲線としたので、
包装体の外側からの剥離強度が弱くなり、容易に開封す
ることができ   。
る一方、内側からの剥離強度が大きくなって、内容物を
充分保護することができ、従来では全く見   −られ
なかった強い密封性と開封容易性を付与することが可能
となる。
また、このような包装体の製造方法においては従来とほ
とんど同じ工程で済むのでコスト面での負坦がなく、し
かも従来方法では得られなかった優れた性能の包装体が
得られる。

Claims (2)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. (1)開口部が熱封緘によつて密封された包装体におい
    て、熱封緘部に加熱加圧によつて凹条が形成され、この
    凹条の断面が、凹条の外側縁から内側縁の方向に次第に
    深くなるようにし、かつ内側縁がほゞ滑らかな線状で外
    側縁が屈曲線を画くようにしたことを特徴とする密封包
    装体。
  2. (2)包装体内に内容物を収納した後、その開口部をヒ
    ートシーラ熱板で熱封緘して密封包装体を製造する方法
    において、上記熱板の上型又は下型には凸条が設けられ
    、この凸条はその外側縁から内側縁に次第に高さが大き
    くなり、かつ内側縁はほゞ滑らかな線状で外側縁が屈曲
    線をなし、この上型及び下型を用いて包装体の開口部近
    辺を加熱加圧することを特徴とする密封包装体の製造方
    法。
