Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 この発明は光ディスクなどの元情報記録媒体に関するも
のである。
従来の光情報記録媒体として知らｎているものは、合成
樹脂などの支持体上にアモルファスになりやすい物質を
結晶化している状態で薄膜形成して記＠層としている。
豊き込みは、記録層の所足部分にレーザビームを照射し
てその部分を急熱急冷してアモルファス化し、このアモ
ルファス化した部分と他の結晶部分との差を光の反射率
、または内部の透過率の差として検出し情報の記録媒体
としている。
この従来技術においては、記録層に使う金属材料として
、たとえば酸化テルルＴｅＯｘにＧｅ、Ｉｎ。
Ｐｃｔなどを添刀日したものを用いているが、この材料
は高価であり、また光の反射率、透過率の差を検出する
のであるが検出エラーが出やすい、という欠点があった
。。
この発明にこうした従来技術における欠点を解決した新
たな光情報記録媒体を提供するものである。
つぎに実施例について説明する。
支持体１は異面を鏡面にした板状のもので、この上に薄
膜の記録層２が形成される。この記録層２は、常温でマ
ンテンサイドａ、高温でオーステナイト相が安定な金属
材料、たとえばＴｉ−Ｎｉ合金が用いられる。情報の書
き込みにほこの記録層２０所定の部分にレーザビーム３
を照射して急熱、急冷することにより、その部分をオー
ステナイト相とする。上記支持体１がその表面を鏡面と
しておけば、上記記録ｉ１２１Ｈｙンテンサイト相の部
分も鏡面に仕上っている。しかし、オーステナイト相に
なった部分は、結晶構造の違いによジ表面が粗面となる
。したがって、光を照射してその反射率の差を検知する
ことにより情報を消去するには除熱徐冷す牡はよい。
上述の構成よρなる本発明による光情報記録媒体によれ
ば、記録層の金属材料にマンテンサイド相とオーステナ
イト相の変態を生じるものであればよいので選択余地が
太きく、コストの低減をはかることができる。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 支持体の一表面を鏡面にし、その上に常温でマンテンサ
    イド相、高温でオーステナイト相が女足な金属材料を用
    いてマンテンサイド相状態で薄膜全形成し、結晶構造の
    違いを光反射率の差として検知することを特徴とする元
    情報記録媒体。
