Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は加熱溶接性物質の柔らかな筒状体と先端部とか
ら構成された筒状容器の製造方法ならびにその製造装置
に関する。
第1図乃至第3図に示すような筒状容器を、円筒形の筒
状体1の端部に先端部2のへり3を嵌合し、先端部2を
回転させることにより、筒状体1の端部と先端部2のヘ
リ3とを摩擦溶接して製造する方法が知られている。
このような製造方法においては、従来は、先端部2の外
側表面を加圧する加圧工具が固定されていたため、先端
部の外側表面と加圧工具との摩擦により粉塵が生じてい
た。
このためたとえば空気の吹き付けなでにより粉塵を清掃
する必要があり、装置が複雑化するとともにコストアッ
プの原因となっていた。
また、容器の仕上り表面を傷付けたり、先端部に設けら
れたねじ溝に粉塵が入り込むなどの問題があった。
本発明はこのような点を考慮してなされたものであり、
摩擦溶接工程において、容器先端部と機械要素との摩擦
をなくシ、互いに溶接されるべき筒状体の端部と先端部
の溶接区域のみにおいて摩擦を生じさせ、摩擦溶接工程
中に粉塵が生ずることを防止することのできる柔らかな
筒状容器の製法ならびにその製造装置を提供することを
目的とする。
以下、図面を参照して本発明の実施例について説明する
第4図は本発明による製造装置の一実施例を示す断面図
である。
図において符号1は加熱溶接性の柔らかな物質からなる
筒状体であり、筒状体1は、テーブル12の上に固定さ
れた中空円筒部材11の内部に嵌挿されて外部的に拘束
固定されている。
符号2は筒状容器の先端部であり、この先端部2のへり
の内側面は軸線に対し外側に傾斜しており、外側面は筒
状体1の内端部に嵌合するよう配置されている。
筒状体1の内側には、先端部2のヘリの内側傾斜面に係
合する傾斜面を備えた受は工具9が、テーブル12に垂
設された固定マンドレル10に対し回転可能に保持され
ている。
先端部2の外側には、加圧工具4が、受は工具9との間
で先端部2を挟圧するように配設されている。
加圧工具4は先端部2を挟圧する側と反対側に軸6が連
結され、この軸6を回転駆動機構(図示せず)により駆
動することにより回転駆動されるようになっている。
また加圧工具4の上端には玉軸受7を介して弾性部材8
が配設され、この弾性部材8により加圧工具4が軸方向
に加圧されている。
符号5は固定箱部材であり、中空円筒部材11の上方を
覆うことにより、加圧工具4、弾性部材8等をカバーし
ている。
また、箱部材5の側壁には圧搾空気の入口13と出口1
4が穿設され、圧搾空気が箱部材5内に導入されること
により、加圧工具4との隙間15部分の潤滑作用がなさ
れるようになっている。
次にこのような構成からなる本実施例の作用について説
明する。
まず、中空円筒部材11内に容器の構成要素である筒状
体1を嵌挿し、筒状体1を外部的に拘束固定する。
次に先端部2のへりをその外側表面が筒状体1の内端部
に嵌合するよう嵌合し、その内側面を受は工具9に当接
させる。
続いて加圧工具4を弾性部材8により軸線方向に移動さ
せて先端部2のヘリを受は工具9との間で挟圧する。
これにより、先端部2のへりは、受は工具9の傾斜面に
より押圧されて半径方向に拡大され、筒状体1の内端部
に密接させられる。
先端部2のへりをこのように筒状体1の内端部に密接さ
せておいて、軸6を回転駆動すれば、先端部2は、加圧
工具4と受は工具9とに挟圧された状態で、同一方向に
同一回転させられる。
これにより筒状体1の内端部と先端部2の−、IJの外
側表面との間に摩擦熱が生じ、この間が摩擦溶接される
第5図は本発明の他の実施例を示す断面図である。
この実施例においては、筒状体は固定マンドレル16の
外周に嵌合固定され、摩擦溶接される端部17は、中空
円筒状の固定箱部材5に嵌挿されて外部的に拘束固定さ
れている。
筒状体の端部をこのように固定した状態で、前述した実
施例と同様に、先端部のへりを加圧工具に受は工具で挟
圧し、これらの工具とともに回転させることにより、先
端部のへりの外側表面と筒状体の内端部とを摩擦溶接す
ることができる。
以上説明したように本発明によれば、先端部の−z I
Jが、これを挟圧して筒状体の内端部に押圧する加圧工
具と受は工具と共に回転させられるため、摩擦溶接工程
において、先端部と加圧工具および受は工具との摩擦が
防止され、先端部のへりの外側表面と筒状体の内端部の
みにおいて摩擦を生じさせることができる。
しだがって摩擦溶接工程中において粉塵が生ずることが
防止され、従来のように粉塵を除去するだめの特別の装
置は必要でなく、装置の構造が簡単化されるとともにコ
ストダウンを図ることができる。
さらに、粉塵により容器の仕上り表面に傷が付くことも
ない。

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 1 中空円筒部材内に筒状容器の構成部材である筒状体
    を嵌合して筒状体の端部を外部的に拘束固定し;前記筒
    状体の内端部に筒状容器の他の構成部材である先端部の
    へりの外側表面が嵌合するよう先端部を配置し;前記先
    端部の外側に配置された加圧工具と先端部の内側に配置
    された受は工具とにより前記先端部のヘリを挟圧して先
    端部のヘリを前記筒状体の内端部に押付け;前記先端部
    を加圧工具および受は工具とともに回転することにより
    筒状体の内端部と先端部のへりの外側表面とに摩擦熱を
    生じさせ;筒状体の内端部と先端部のヘリの外側表面と
    を摩擦溶接して筒状体と先端部とにより柔らかな筒状容
