Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 この発明は、光ファイバー（１）のジャケット（４）を
挾持するコイルスプリング（２）をスリーブ（３）の両
開口端に具備せる光ファイバー（１）の突合せ接続装置
に係る。
従来のこの種のものにおいては、第６図の如く、コイル
スプリング（２）をスリーブ（３）の開口端に単に嵌挿
して接着剤（５）で固定していたので、接着固定が不確
実になりやすく、光ファイバー（１）のジャケット（４
）を挿入挾持せしめるべ（コイルスプリング″（２）を
逆捻じりして内径を広げるとき接着が外れることがある
という欠点かあった。
この発明は上記欠点を除去せんとするもので、その要旨
とするところは、スリーブ（３）の外端部に凹部（６）
を設け、該凹部（６）にコイルスプリング（２）の内端
部を嵌合固定して成る光ファイバーの接続装置である。
以下、この発明を図示せる実施例により説明する。図面
における図番は従来例において使用したものと同じであ
る。
まず第１図及び第２図に示す一実施例に基づいて説明す
る。
コイルスプリング（２）は中央部の径が狭小しスリーブ
（３）を挾持するようになっており、一方の開口端は光
ファイバー（１）の挿入孔として、他方の開口端はスリ
ーブ（３）の一端部に外嵌される。そしてこのコイルス
プリング（２）のスリーブ（３）に外嵌する側の端部は
、コイル素線の端部が内径方向に折曲突出せしめられ、
スリーブ（３）の外周胴面に穿設された凹部（６）に嵌
合せしめられている。
次に第３図乃至第５図に示す一実施例に基づいて説明す
る。
コイルスプリング（２）の基本形状は上記実施例のもの
と同様である。そしてこのコイルスプリング（２）の一
端部はスリーブ（３）の一端部に外嵌されると共にその
外端部か内径方向に圧潰され、スリーブ（３）の外周胴
面に穿設された凹部（６）に嵌合せしめられている。こ
の嵌合はまず！ｉ８４図の如くコイルスプリング（２）
をスリーブ（３）に嵌合したのち第５図の如く、その外
端部を凹部（６）内に没入するように圧潰するのが一般
的である。
以上の如くこの発明によれば、光ファイバー（１）のジ
ャケット（４）を挾持するコイルスプリング（２）をス
リーブ（３）に嵌合取着しているので、コイルスプリン
グ（２）のスリーブ（３）への固定取着が不十分になる
という欠点がないのである。

  1. （１）　　スリーブ（３）の外端部に凹部（６）を設け
    、該凹部（６）にコイルスプリング（２）の内端部を嵌
    合固定して成る光ファイバーの接続装置。
