Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 （ａ）　　発明の技術分野 本発明は光通信装置等で用いる光コネクタに関し、特に
その元ファイバ固定構造に関するものである。
（ｂ）　　技術の背景 光フアイバ同士又は光ファイ・マと発光素子、受光素子
等の光素子とを結合するための光コネクタにおいては、
光コネクタを構成するフ０ラグを光フアイバ端部に設け
、このプラグ同士をアダノ°り内で対面させて両者をフ
クロナツト等により固定し、あるいは光素子を収容し７
たアゲ゛ツク内にプラグを挿入してフクロナツト等を用
いて両者を約合している。このようなプラグに光フアイ
バ全装着する場合、光の伝送損失の低下を防止し安定し
た伝送特性とするために光ファイバはプラグに対し確実
に強固に固定されなけｎばならない。
（ｃ）従来技術と問題点 従来の光コネクタにおいて、九７アイパ挿入用スリーブ
外周に圧着リングを設け、該圧沼リングの締付けＫよシ
上記スリーブを内部の光フアイバ被覆部上に押圧して光
７アイパを光コネクタに固定する構造が用いられていた
。しかしながら、このような固定構造ではスリーブ内面
と光ファイバとの固着強度が充分でなく温度変化等によ
り光ファイバがゆるみ伝送特性に悪影響し光伝送のＧｊ
−頼性を低下さぜる場合かあった。
（ｄ）　　発明の目的 本発明は上記従来技術の欠点を３みなさ九たものでおっ
て、簡羊な構造で確実にブｔファイバを光コネクタに既
定てきる元ファイバ固定構造の提供を目的とする。
（ｅ）　　発明の構成 この目的を達成するため、本発明では、光コネクタの光
フアイバ挿入用スリーブ外周に１尤リングを設け、該圧
？ｔｉ’）ングの締旬けにょシ上記スリーブを内部の光
ファイバ被覆部上置押圧して光ファイバを光コネクタに
固定する光コネクタの光フアイバ固定構造において、上
記スリーブの軸方向にスリットを設け、スリーブ内面に
突起を形成して−る。
（ｆ）　　発り」の実施例 第１図は本発明に係る光コネクタの部分断面図、第２図
は第１図の光コネクタに九７アイバを装着した状態の部
分断面図である。光コネクタを（構成するプラグｌはシ
ラスチック等のモールド成形体から成）、このプラグ１
に光ファイバ２か挿入すれている。光ファイバ２は光フ
ァイバ芯線３およびナイロン被覆部４からなシ先端の光
フアイバ芯線３を露出した状態で、プラグ１内に挿入さ
れる。
プラグ１の光フアイバ挿入口部には光フアイバ挿入用ス
リーブ６が設けら汎る。この挿入用スリーブ６０入口部
内面には突起７が形成される。この挿入用スリーブ６に
は第３図に示すように軸方向（長手方向）に複数本のス
リット９が形成される。
挿入用スリーブ６の外周には金属製圧着リング８が設け
られる。光ファイバ２をプラグ１に挿入後、圧着リング
８をかしめ加工等によシ縮径させ、第２図に示すように
、挿入用スリーブ６を内側に押圧して締付は内部の元フ
ァイバ被覆部４に圧着させ突起７をこの被覆部４に食い
込ませて光ファイバ２をプラグ１に対し固定する。
（ｇ）　　発明の詳細 な説明したように、本発明に係る光フアイバ固定構造に
おいては、光フアイバ挿入用スリーブ内面に突起を設け
この突起を光フアイバ被覆部に食い込ませて光ファイバ
を固定しているため光ファイバはプラグに対し確実に固
定される。また、挿入用スリーブに軸方向スリットが形
成されているため、圧着リングのがしめ加工時の押圧力
が均等に確実に光フアイバ被覆部周囲に付与され信頼性
の高い圧着作用が得られる。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. １、　光コネクタの光ファイノ々挿入用スリーブ外周に
    圧着リングを設け、該圧着リングの締付けによシ上記ス
    リーブを内部の光ファイ／？被覆部上に押圧して光ファ
    イバを光コネクタに固定する光コネクタの光ファイ・マ
    固定構造において、上記ヒリ〜プの軸方向にスリ１．ト
    を設け、スリーブ内面に突起全形成したことを特徴とす
    る光コネクタの九ファイバ固定構造。
