Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:N,N'-Tetramethylene-cis-epoxysuccinamide of formula.
USE: Carcinostatic agent having extremely low toxicity or almost free from toxicity, and nevertheless exhibiting strong carcinostatic effects.
PROCESS: The compound of formula is prepared by reacting a cis-epoxysuccinic acid dialkyl ester (e.g. cis-epoxysuccinic acid dimethyl ester) with nearly equimolar amount of 1,4-diaminobutane in a basic solvent such as pyridine, at 10W100°C.
