Abstract
PURPOSE:To form a voidless insulating resin layer having uniform thickness for coil of electric machine by a method wherein insulating bars are arranged on the upper parts of a coil along the longitudinal direction, and after a thermally contractive tape is wound around thereon and is heated to be contracted, impregnation treatment is performed on the coil in a vacuum. CONSTITUTION:After the main insulating layer 4 is wound on the magnetic field winding 3, the insulating bars 5 are put on the two sides of the upper parts of the winding along the longitudinal direction placing insulating plates 6 and break away sheets 7 between them. Then the insulating bars 5 and the winding are wound around together in one body with the thermally contractive tape 8, and at this time, gaps 9 are made to be generated at both the end parts of the insulating bars 5. After this coil is heated to make the thermally contractive tape 8 to be contracted, it is dipped in an insulating resin tank to perform impregnation treatment in a vacuum. Accordingly the impregnated resin does not flow out when it is hardened, and the voidless insulating layer can be formed.
