Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the flow of varnish and to eliminate the occurrence of a gap at the end section of a coil by immersing the whole body in varnish wherein paint hardened at low temperature is then applied to the surface of a coil end projected from the end of an iron core for hardening. CONSTITUTION:A coil wound collective mica, insulating tapes 1a such as fiber cloth or the like on conductors 4 is incorporated in an iron core 2 and heating and hardening varnish 1b is poured in the coil after applying vacuum drying to the whole body. Next, varnish-flow proof paint 3 hardened at low temperatures is applied to the coil end 1 projected from the end of the iron core 2 and heating and hardening is applied to the poured varnish after hardening the varnish at normal temperature. In this way, the flow of the varnish at the coil end will be prevented and no gap will exist in an insulating layer without missing the deairing in the insulating layer and the invarsion of the varnish to the insulating layer. Therefore, a coil for an electrical machine causing no corona discharge or the like will be obtained.
