Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the internal oxidation of an insert material made of a ferrous sintered alloy to be inserted by an Al alloy during the Al-Fin treatment thereof and fortify the bonding of said material and the Al alloy by forming a specific metallic layer before or after the Al-Fin treatment of said material. CONSTITUTION:After the outside surface of a ring-shaped insert material 1 made of a ferrous sintered alloy is sealed of the pores opened therein, it is applied successively with electroplating of Cu and Ni. Thereby, the adhesiveness of Ni to the member 1 is improved. Thence, this member 1 is immersed in pure molten Al (Al- Fin treatment), to form an Al coating layer dispersed with the Cu and Ni from the plating layer on the surface thereof.
