Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a copper alloy having good all-round properties ranging heat resistance, electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, plating, soldering, mechanical strength etc. by improving electrical conductivity by addition of one ore more kinds of P, Si, Sn and further heat resistance by addition of Ti.
CONSTITUTION: A copper alloy composed of, in wt%, (a) Ti: 0.01W1.0, (b) total amount of one or more kinds of the following three elements: 0.004W0.2, P 0. 004W 0.2, Si 0.01W0.5, Sn 0.01W1.0, (c) Cu and unavoidable impurities. When Ti is under the lower limit, the expected heat resistance can not be attained even by coactive addition of component (b), contrary to that Ti over the upper limit necessitates the increase of component (b) for getting high conductivity, upper limit of Ti is determined by the upper limit of component (b). Improvement of electrical conductivity can not be attained component of (b) under the lower limit, however, lowering of workability is marked over the upper limit. The total amount of components (b) is confined by the same reason.
