Abstract

PURPOSE: In Cu-Ni-Zn-Sn based alloy whose components are specified, the upper limits of Zn and Ni are restricted, to thereby provide good corrosion resistivity, soldering property, as well as creep characteristic.
CONSTITUTION: Cu-Ni-Zn-Sn based alloy is provided comprising Zn: 5 to 10%, Sn: 1 to 6%, Ni: 2 to 10%, the balance being Cu and unavoidable impurities, wherein Ni amounts to over 40% of Zn quantity. Through this method, a portion of Sn is replaced with Zn and Ni to reduce cost without decreasing good property of phosphor bronze, thereby further enhancing workability, durability, spring property, etc. Using the cart, 4 parts or more of Ni for 10 parts of Zn is added to produce alloy having higher creep property than phosphor bronze has.
