Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a superior silicon steel thin strip through ordinary annealing without evacuation or high speed temp. elevation annealing to a thin strip after quick solidifying by containing crystal grain growth inhibiting elements into the molten steel at the time of annealing the steel thin strip obtained by quick cooling and solidifying of the Si-contg. molten steel. CONSTITUTION:Crystal grain primary growth suppressing elements, for example, S, Se, Te, As, Sb, Bi, B, etc. are contained in molten steel of 2-8% contents of Si, and the molten steel is continuously ejected from a nozzle onto a moving cooling surface, and is quickly cooled and solidified to a thin strip. If this thin strip is annealed by box annealing or the like at 1,050-1,300 deg.C as it is or after rolling, abnormal grain growth is induced in tertiary recrystallization and the nondirectional structure in the (100) plane is formed.
