CONSTITUTION:Molten body of high silicon steel containing Si; 4-10% and total amount of inevitable impurities, such as oxygen, sulfur, carbon, nitrogen etc.; 0.1% or less, is gushed on the surface of the metal moving face, for example, bowl-shaped revolving body, endless steel strip, rotating roll etc., moving continuously and super quenching is carried out at the speed more than 10<3> deg.C/sec. up to a temperature of about 400 deg.C not to produce crystal grain growth or regular lattice. Thin steel strip rolled in coil-shape by the above method, possesses crystal grain diameter of about 1-100mum and good flexibility and workability. Moreover, magnetic characteristic is improved remarkably by removing inner strain annealing at 400-1300 deg.C in a short time together with growing the crystal grain diameter up to 0.05-10mm.
