Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce a clad steel pipe excellent in abrasion resistance and weldability, by forming a clad steel sheet having a hard steel as a core and a soft steel as an outer layer into a steel pipe for transporting slurry.
CONSTITUTION: The core 3 of a hard steel containing C<0.50%, Si=0.05W1.00%, P≤0.04%, S≤0.02%, Al<0.01% and at least one or more selected from Cn= 0.20W2.00%, V≤0.20%, Mo=0.05W1.00% and B=0.0005W0.0035% is placed in a mold 1, and then is surrounded with a molten metal 2 of a soft steel containing C<0.50%, Si=0.05W1.00%, P≤0.04%, S≤0.02% and Al<0.10%, and subsequently the molten metal is solidified. Alternatively, the cores 3 are layered with a parting plate 7 therebetween, and after the solidification, by removing the parting plate 7, a clad steel having two or three layers composed of the soft steel 2' and the hard steel 3' is obtained.
