Abstract

PURPOSE: To completely join the inner and outer layers by melt-sticking by pouring the inner layer material when the temperature of inner surface of the outer layer material reaches a prescribed temperature range, after the outer layer material is casted by centrifugal casting and the flux is injected.
CONSTITUTION: The outer layer material is casted by centrifugal casting and then the flux is injected to prevent oxidation of the inner surface of outer layer material by coating the surface with the molten flux. Then, when the temperature of outer layer drops and the temperature of inner surface reaches a temperature range from solidifying temperature of outer layer material to the solidifying temperature minus 50°C, the inner layer material is poured. In this way, a composite ingot formed of different kinds of metals or alloys and on which hot workings can be made, is obtained with a good workability.
