Abstract

PURPOSE: To suppress graphite spheroidization hampering action and improve tensile strength by applying graphite spheroidizing to the molten cast steel containing the specified amounts of C, Si, Mn, Sb then pouring the same into the shell molds with back metal dies.
CONSTITUTION: Graphite spheroidizing is applied to the molten cast steel composed of C; 3.5W4.0%, Si; 2.5W3.0%, Mn; 0.1W1.0%, Sb; 0.01W0.1% and the rest substantially of iron by adding Mg thereto.
